@crrash: I know what you mean, but I think there's a bit of semantics at play here. Sure a demo is there to help people decide if they want to buy a game, but we can't really pretend there isn't a huge number of people who look forward to a demo as an hors d'oeuvre for the game they're eagerly waiting to play.
@jdskeleven: Agreed. #jurassicthehunted
@myketuna: It's kind of like having your wingmen in Rogue Squadron 2, except they don't die 40 secs into the level. Also it reminds me of Chaos Legion on the PS2, which I assume is in the Overlord category of games.
@gameraboy: I agree; this was the biggest problem I had with the episode as well. I was totally willing to buy ANY excuse for why using a Kino wouldn't work (really, I would have taken anything), but it was killing me not to hear a character even ask about it. And I'm usually pretty good about not letting my own…
@Meredith Woerner: Since this is already here, I'm real sorry for being a Grammar-Nazi jerk, but "the character's that will need more development"? DO I NOT BLEED, MS. WOERNER? DO I NOT BLEED?
@Ornithopterx: Yes, I completely misread that. I apologize, sir.
@brainboy77: I enjoyed it, and re-skimmed some parts after finishing it. Different strokes, I suppose, but I can't imagine you'll really feel the author is a complete douche if he doesn't read your comment or change his style after reading it.
@SpikeWT: That commercial taught me how awesome Elbow is.
@Brodka: And we can call it Gauntlet!
@Kobun: If you're going by nuisance I'd also put Star Trek on bottom. Star Wars and anime fans are always loudly arguing or throwing references around, but I'll be damned if I can ever find someone with whom I can talk about Star Trek.
@moe52: That made me laugh.
@naikou: I will mail them my organs if they can do for Donkey Kong what they did for Metroid, or if they can do for Donkey Kong Country what DKC did for Donkey Kong. It's easily my current most-missed IP from Nintendo.
@yargh: This. I've never owned or wanted a dog, but thinking about it now it does seem a bit unsavory.
@SwimOdin: Is that a guy? ...Am I wrong for not knowing?
@Kobun: Thank you. Sincerely.
@Archaotic: I can't vouch entirely for the relevance of this anecdote, and you may have played it and hold your own opinions about it, but in FFXI quests are treated much differently than the kind I've seen in games like Warhammer (and Warcraft, I'd hazard, though I haven't played it).
@Ken: So something like The Secret World? I know it's not exactly the same, but that was the first thing that came to mind, and it's the similarly-original MMO I'm anxiously waiting to play.
@Go Team Venture: You can add me to that list. Then I plugged it in and played some more and was late to work.
@uglyteradon: Why are casual customers a bunch of losers? Their money's as good as mine. Apologies if I misunderstood that.
