Your local library can probably get you a copy of the article via interlibrary loan; they may even have a form on their website where you can just paste in the citation details and some personal contact info for them to send the article to.

My advice to people is almost always that when it comes to producing professional works, consistency matters more than particular choice. There are expected standards, but nothing craters the apparent quality of a written work like inconsistently-applied rules.
