It almost takes away from the story. I get that "some gave all, all gave some" thing. Which is lame. Military sevice is good, going too hard-core pro-military is not.

I did watch this whole doc and sort of expected that there would be more reckoning about his service in the armed forces being used to fight against democracy in the Dominican Republic. I sort of thought there might be more of a moral question about it, about the money and honor he gained from it that he himself might …
Mitch McConnell is about as useful as the new slideshow format.
I think the issue is; as much as I’ve complained about HD before (and I have), I don’t want them to fail - I just want them to make bikes for the rest of us. The point wasn’t that you can’t afford two HD’s with your existing responsibilities, it’s that they represent very poor value for most motorcyclists - to say…
I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth repeating.
I do not put my volume on
-Odd Numbers
-Even numbers that are multiples of 13 (26, 52, etc)
Is it possible to use spellcheck at all?
A hometown friend flew to visit me in college, because she was interested in a nearby med school. I took her out in my ‘96 Miata m-edition—75k miles, a bit scrappy—and she fell in love with it.
There’s an old, little-known idiom that goes something like this: Don’t judge a book by its cover.
Done a few good years as a United 1K, so have some thoughts. In general, airport food is getting a lot better almost everywhere. More and more airports are revamping their lineups as they do renovations, and many feature locations of popular local spots.
ah, the good old Mitchell, my 4th grade teacher, Harley Hartung, was a B-25 driver in the South Pacific (think he was with the 13th, Jungle AF). He really liked the B-25s with the 8 .50cal combo upfront but didn’t like the models with the 75mm guns much. He claimed they bent the airframe too much and became very…

Running shoes are a big no-no if you want to blend in abroad. They scream “AMERICAN”. That in and of itself isn’t a bad thing, but not sticking out like a sore thumb has made traveling more fun for me.
Shut the fuck up with this “dude probably should have read the fine print” stuff. This story is about you.
This whole “OBEY ANY AND EVERY ORDER YOU ARE GIVEN OR YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS ARE FORFEIT” deal aboard airliners is getting really old.
Remember this thing was chosen during the Cold war. I actually did a fly-along in one in the mid-90's. The forward quarter of the cargo area was the crew stations. The back three quarters was amplifiers. Big freaking heavy amplifiers.
As a former engineer from the Compass Call program, I can say that it’s nice to see these planes getting some love. However, every aircraft in the fleet was originally produced between 1964 and 1972. In fact, the “newest” aircraft in the fleet is also the oldest.
I’m assuming going from a C-130 to a Gulfstream 550 is due to fuel efficiency?
Russia: Silly Americans! We have low-frequency L-band radars which can see your vaunted stealth aircraft, and we can direct our fighters and missiles against them with ease!
Denying the enemy the ability to communicate is often equated with denying them the opportunity for victory. As the…
