Did somebody say TURBO?
I think you’re talking about Gemini 8, which was Neil Armstrong and Dave Scott. That bit was very well protrayed in From the Earth to The Moon on HBO back in the 90's.
OMG CP all day long.
JK Rowling may have started writing the Harry Potter series in Edinburgh, but she was born and raised in England, therefore she is not a Scottish author.
Mask of the Phantasm: Great Batman movie or the GREATEST Batman movie? (Yes including the Nolan-verse).
YESSSS! This is exactly what any screen adaptation of Watchmen should have been in the first place! At HBO they don’t have to appeal to a PG-13 audience and they aren’t limited to 2-3 hour movie. This is great news!
Any options for somebody who absolutely hates slip-on shoes? I’ve tried many pairs and I just can’t stand them, I like shoes that are (relatively) tight to my feet.
I am not.
This I think is why they’re giving L3 the helm when it comes to the next aircraft; the systems packaging will be entirely up to them so it gives them a level of autonomy over the implementation. They already know the requirements from the DoD, now all they have to do is figure out a way to shrink things which,…
You assume it’s already “packaged nicely.” The truth is that if we were using the latest and greatest tech it would probably be 1/4 the size of what it actually occupies. I have no doubt that we could fit our capability into a G550. It would require some re-tooling, but it is doable.
Yup! I’m one of the nerds mentioned in the article. I still laugh when I heard the “language as a weapons system” bit. I doubt any weapons system in the entire Air Force is maintained less than my language proficiency.
Compass Call...JAMS! Haha! Thank you so much for this article on the plane that I’ve been flying on for years! We too often feel like a red-headed stepchild being a part of Air Combat Command when we aren’t a fighter or bomber, so we fade into obscurity until shit happens like OIR and combatant commanders want our…
For the kind of work that Compass Call does, we don’t need to land on rough fields and do short take offs. And with the mission equipment on board we barely have enough space for ourselves and our lunchboxes :P We mostly need to be able to loiter in an area for a long period of time, hence the need for fuel…
So say we all.
Everybody raves about the six speed until they drive one. I had a 99 with the 5 speed followed by an 05 MSM with the six.
I’ve got a manual ‘04 Forester XT for sale. There’s your hen’s tooth!
I have a manual ‘04 Forester XT I'll sell you for a decent price...in Arizona. High mileage, but mechanically it's in great shape.
Would you be willing to publicly take a Voight-Kampff, just so we know you aren’t some sort of future-android-time-traveler come back to warn us of our impending doom?
