I guess it will mean Samsung, Acer etc will have to devise better products to justify the price. For example, if Asus apply their Transformer concept to what Microsoft have proposed, it could easily justify the extra cost if you get a base that doubles the battery.

They're all as bad as each other - devices only get guaranteed upgrades whilst they're the flagship models or run off a recent build so they aren't upgrading multiple forks of Sense/Touchwiz/Blur etc.

HD video goes jerky and apps/games run slow because of stifled data access.
