I can't decide whether the 'Scream' porno parody would be called 'Cream' or 'Ream'...

Yes, such apps get in there, but EVERY SINGLE APP INSTALLATION, even if it's from an .apk installation away from the Market, will trigger a permission prompt. It's hard coded and rigidly enforced by the OS.

You'd have thought that more Android OEMs would be using hardware keyboards to capture RIM customers.

No doubt they'll upgrade it soon. Motorola have committed to updating all their other flagships within the next 2-3 months.

It's probably worth pointing out that Google got Android Market's privacy thing pretty much right - everything must be declared in the Permissions screen before installing the Application. I don't know if it's a declaration made by the developer or an automated process that sniffs what the App can do, but everything

Chrome used fast iterations as it grew as an open source product with multiple developments.

But by your very words, they could suddenly have an upswing due to a clever software reveal or desirable hardware announcement.

Quite hard to offer a genuine search when it only returns Apple products & App store results...

Then don't upgrade. Windows 8 is the next 'Tick' in Microsoft's cycle, and all their best work seems to come on the 'Tock'...

There are probably a few, noticeable high profile people to divert attention and a load more under false names & companies.

Rather than staying in the upgrade cycle, why not get an account credit rather than a new subsidised phone and buy your hardware unlocked?

I suspect AT&T have paid for the exclusive here...

It's a US-only device.

No doubt the warranty/expectations will move accordingly.

To be honest, once the spec is set in stone, companies can set to work on upconverters that will expand the image with the least amount of image degradation. Also, future consoles can target the spec as an option. Film stock & Digital Cinema should easily work on that res.

IIRC, rooting a Nexus device doesn't void the warranty because it's a developer phone. Google encourage it. The only thing I don't think is covered is hardware damaged caused by rooting (i.e. overclocking).

Is it right that crash bugs in essentially Alpha software constitutes 'sucking' these days. I mean, you're honestly critiquing the App falling over on a version of Android that very few people have ready access to, right?

Isn't the point of LauncherPro that you still get all the Sense stuff behind the scenes without the enforced battery-eating whizz-bang?

Poor 15 year old's... forever discriminated against!

@crazypills77: it's still the same horrible experience now!
