That certainly sounds awful. But it is not uncommon for serial killers to lie through their teeth about the number of people they killed. Shockingly, they are not the most reliable people.
IF Jalopnik ever finds the desperate need to go off-topic from automobiles & do a 'Worst Logo Ever' column, I'd like to nominate the following...
Just realized what that face reminds me of.
I dunno, yes the rose is lame. But I'm kind of having fantasies about this thing going full gears down the road and making some guy with a thin mustache fall off his bike.
Just over 100km/h, so closer to 65mph . The national speed limit in NZ is 100km/h. 2 separate NZ policemen thoughtfully stopped me to confirm I understood this when I visited. The second one even handed me a piece of paper with it written on (along with some other information that came in handy when I needed to pay…
Those speeds were in kph, 100kph = 62mph. There are lots of two lane roads with no shoulder around here in Western NY.
But that describes pretty much every situation in which an employee speaks out when they feel they were wronged. It's always going to be from their own personal experience.
Wait, what? So you think that the things he's alleging that Priefer said aren't a serious issue that needs to be addressed? Or is there some hypothetical way of discussing them that magically wouldn't run afoul of your rule against self-aggrandizing?
I'm bi, and I'd be fucking pissed as hell if a straight friend of mine got fired because he spoke up in defense of marriage rights. Kluwe has every right to be upset that he lost his job.
Seriously, are you saying that straight people who get fired for supporting marriage equality shouldn't speak about it publicly?…
I have a feeling that you read the title, maybe a paragraph or two and then ran straight to the comments section. You can clearly read that at the end he said he didn't tell this side of the story out of respect for his former teammates.
I don't see a lot of grudge-settling here. I do see a lot of fighting against an employer acting inappropriately.
Without agreeing that this is about a grudge, why couldn't it be both? As a more specific issue, a lot of workers do not speak out against the bad behavior of their employers until they have a more personal reason to do so (fired, passed over for a promotion, etc.). As a general issue, if you discount the work of…
But . . . it's an article about a boss acting inappropriately in the workplace and seeking to punish someone for vocally supporting civil rights. What's the problem?
I would argue that he's not the one who made it about Chris Kluwe, the guys who opposed him did.
Why does that matter if the cause is just?
tl;dr, The Minnesota Vikings focused on this BS instead of on being a competitive team, finished 5-10 and now Coward #1 is an ex-coach. If there is any justice/karma in the world, so with the other two.
Excellent fucking article. Great job.
Hello. My name is Chris Kluwe, and for eight years I was the punter for the Minnesota Vikings. In May 2013, the…
