With you on the newlywed front, Shannon. We eloped on Leap Day, and had a reception planned for April 25th. That didn’t happen, and we’ve just cancelled a 3-week trip out west for later this summer. Before COVID we were already together basically 24-7; we work from home, for the same company.

In this case the scare quotes and ellipsis firmly convey the sarcasm.

Generations span roughly 20 years though, and that 41 year old probably had experiences more like that 55-year-old’s than they do to a 24-year-old (the youngest millennials today).

It's '90s for the decade, since the 19 has been removed.

Crucet’s latest book, My Time Among the Whites: Notes From an Unfinished Education, was released in September.”

It seems pretty incredible that this is your introduction to Sesame Street. The point of the show since its origin has been to address confusing topics to children.

It airs on HBO first so PBS is able to air the episodes as less-expensive reruns, when in actuality it’s reaching more people when aired on the latter. It’s a pretty genius arrangement.

For point #3, do you mean South Park? People reference the politics and philosophies of that show’s episodes, but I can’t say I’ve ever encountered anyone who felt Family Guy episodes have a specific ax to grind.

A pretty watchable miniseries of this book was made in last few years, caught it on Amazon a month or so ago.

Don’t you often have a timeline in which it needs to become inhabitable, too? I have a friend who snapped up one of these ~$30k mansions in the St. Louis area and he went into it with a construction background, but he still felt it was a big challenge meeting the deadlines/requirements a house at that low of a cost

She did the narration for a suspect documentary some years back- and has since apologized and disavowed it. But unfortunately it's the kind of thing that'll haunt you with casual uninformed comments like the one you replied to.

Yes. I worked for a hotel and this was a big thing- most of the time we can’t alter 3rd party reservations because money has already been exchanged. It’s different if the guest has opted to pay at check-in (this is basically just reserving the room through the 3rd party, not booking in advance with hotels.com or

Alternate theory from someone who’s worked overnight at hotel for several years: hotels sit on their nicest rooms. Unless you’re specifically a destination hotel (or it’s a summer weekend and there are weddings in-house), the “presidential suite” or whatever isn’t getting booked. If you happen to stay on an especially

In my experience it goes to the number you’re calling, yeah. I get a few calls a week from numbers that look like mine (that I totally ignore and haven’t suffered any consequences from). Occasionally I’ll get a text from a similar number to mine asking who I am, so evidently my number gets spoofed sometimes... and

But those are most likely the phone numbers of actual people who had nothing to do with their random number getting spoofed, and done so in a way that’s specifically untraceable.
