Reminding me that shovel knight and the bad pun frog exist has made my day.

My Dreamcast console always held up just fine. The controllers on the other hand? The plug that goes into the system is incredibly fragile at this point. And this happened to all of my controllers. I thought it must have been me, but I treated them very carefully.

I gotta disagree with you. New Super Mario Bros was a step back from its predecessors. Which kind of makes sense, as it was supposed to be more of a sequel to the original SMB. But if you consider only 2D game, it's immediate predecessor was Super Mario World, and if you consider all Mario games, it was Galaxy

Random side note: seeing Awesomenauts in that cover image made me extremely happy. Gonna play when I leave work today.

I can see getting tired of it, but I love the aesthetic of pixelated games for the most part. Games like this one are perhaps a little TOO retro for my tastes, but I think it's less of a novelty now and more of an art style that many people genuinely enjoy.

She's not wider, it's just the legs. They chose to give her a skirt, which has a little extra material over the standard legs. The real problem is that homer and Wiggum are the standard lego size figures. They need an extra piece to fit on the front and back to show how fat they're supposed to be.

And you ended up with the excellent Brave Fencer Mushashi as a side benefit. Not a bad deal.

Nevermind, read quickly and missed the joke =P

I love Awesomenauts and it's the only Moba that I've ever really played. I'd like to get into LoL, but I'm honestly nervous about trying to learn when I hear how crushing the community is to new people. I don't have the time to dedicate to playing the game on a master level, but I'd like to learn and have fun. Is

Play it. Just... play it. If not THE best, at least in the top 5 of turn based RPGs of all time. Battles are not too grindy, awesome plot and characters, dialogue that feels more real than most games of the time... you won't regret it.

I agree that it's not a trope, just clarifying that the word "down" in"Phoenix Down" refers to a down feather. So the item is referring to a mythic Phoenix feather, and it revives players because that's what the phoenix does.

9 is the epitome of Final Fantasy in my opinion. Final Fantasy X and X-2 were the encore that still had a hint of the magic, and Bravely Default is the full on revival. Any other games with the name Final Fantasy since then have been pretenders, completely different types of games with Final Fantasy aspects, or in

I believe Phoenix Down is actually a reference to a bird's down feathers. It's a phoenix feather, thus why it can be used to restore life from knocked out people.

Exactly... I want my Final Fantasy to be a Final Fantasy. If I wanted to play Far Cry, I would.

No and no. I'm a huge fan of the Morales spidey in the comics, but we're only now JUST getting to see a (finally) appropriate version of Peter Parker on screen with his other Marvel heroes. That's what I WANT to see. Saying that there has been a Spider-Man that existed for months (years?) in New York fighting super

Possibly because the main game does not seem to be a complete game. If I'm spending full price on a new game, I would like to get the complete game. If the base was $40, I would be more open to it.

I must have found good groups then. When I was the monster, I won a couple times, and lost many times, but it was always after I had at least evolved to Stage 2. When I was a hunter, we tried different methods of splitting up and scouting, following the trapper, killing the wildlife to make it harder to evolve, and

Kind of surprised the article didn't discuss it at all. But the DLC is a huge downside. I played and loved the beta, but I'm not buying the game until a "game of the year" type version comes out with all the DLC included.

I'm the exact opposite. I played the beta as much as I could and every round was exciting and fun.

I love everything about this, except the name. A-Force sounds like a step down. I would prefer they would just call this team the Mighty Avengers if they're eliminating the old team.
