What, exactly, makes you think his guilty plea was coerced? I’m having a hard time believing you’ve read anything about this case, including the very piece you are here commenting on, or you would know that the victim’s parents DO NOT, in fact, believe him. As Diana mentioned, the victim’s mother is on record saying

As a lifelong criminal defense attorney, I think it’s abhorrent and unethical to suborn perjury, and that’s exactly what you are doing if you are encouraging your innocent clients to plead guilty to crimes they didn’t commit.

Hinge is a terrible name for a dating app, who comes up with this shit? It sounds like whinge, and evokes really unpleasant mental images. “Hey baby, want to pry open my hinge?” Ugh.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He paid his dues.

That sounds right up my alley, thanks! I’m trying to remember the last book I read in one sitting. I think it was Penpal by Dathan Auerbach. Apparently the story was originally a Reddit creepypasta that the author decided to flesh out into a novel, but I’ve never read the creepypasta so I don’t know how it compares.

Read it, love it. When I’m asked what kind of books I enjoy, I usually just say “books like House of Leaves.”

Ooo that sounds spooky, definitely putting it in my Amazon cart. Thanks!

Would you care to suggest some good horror novels? I’m currently halfway through American Elsewhere (it’s great so far!) and need to line up my next scary read.

The Houston episode of Parts Unknown is the most incredible love letter to a criminally misunderstood city and the best, truest representation of my amazing hometown I’ve ever seen on TV. He’ll always be beloved in H-Tine, and we’ll raise a glass of purple drank to him tonight.

Honestly, one of the only things that gives me joy these days is imagining just how impotent and betrayed Bob McNair, Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft must feel, after giving millions of dollars to Trump’s campaign.

Historically, the non-presidential party makes big gains at the midterms and will restore some balance to Congress.

The icing on the shit sundae was pencil-dicked CJ Nitkowski on the Rangers’ broadcast going through the rule line by line and arguing Odor didn’t break any of its provisions, while the slo-mo replay clearly showing he does plays over it.

Never forget, when the Rockets fired Kevin McHale in 2015, his wife went off on the players and the organization on her Twitter account under her real name! Called Harden lazy, blamed “the Kardashian curse,” called Morey a phony, etc. So it’s certainly possible for wives to be engaged enough to comment.

The fatal flaw with it being anyone other than Colangelo or someone very close to him is the three accounts getting locked down as soon as The Ringer asked for comment on the other two. There’s just no way around that fact. Not even the anonymous tipster could have known the exact day Detrick would ask the 76ers for

You know what else has terrible side effects? Not sleeping.

But you don’t even use your shoulder in soccer!

And of course, the NBA doesn’t allow its players to peacefully protest during the national anthem

He’s like a high school drama queen. If people stop paying attention to him for more than a day or two, he says or does something outrageous to make everyone look at him again. He thinks he’s clever and edgy, but it’s actually just sad.

The fact that you can’t comprehend the difference between criticizing a commercial media outlet and threatening to sexually assault someone tells me that you are a stoolie.
