I'm a Rhode Islander, and can speak to the fact that Baldwin showing up and agreeing to participate in a fundraiser for the library is a huge fucking deal. CF is a tiny, bankrupt town and can use all the financial support it can get. It was a genuine and kind-hearted move on Baldwin's part.
