I would spent the money buying stuff from outside of the US. Then maybe Bush might be stupid enough to send out a bigger "stimulus" cheque.

I could not get Cairo dock to work with my ATI graphics card after trying EVERYTHING. The whole lack of linux drivers from ATI really bites.
Free labor by masking it as a coveted prize. Great thinking Lifehacker. You guys know all the hacks... hehe :)
If you are at a meeting that is has no relevance to you then you might not know exactly what is going on, e.g. back-stories, difficulties that was not bought up at the meeting, etc... In this case, taking notes then forwarding it to your boss could make you sound quite silly.
You can make a surprisingly good pudding in a microwave. My flatmate use to microwave broccoli all the time. I find it turns out very "rubbery". Not sure if it's a timing issue or what...
@fullerenedream: I suppose that other crops *might* be useful. There are other factors I forgot to mention though. In some countries, particularly in South America, the lucrative prices of bio-fuel crops causes the deforestation (mainly rain-forests) of large areas so that it can be converted to farm-land. Once the…
@AnthoMacP: Blackle DOES NOT save energy for a LCD monitor. It only works for CRT monitors which pretty much no body uses these days. In an standard LCD display (that is non-LED backlight and non-organic) there is an always-on backlight which is what consumes pretty much all the power. A darker pixel merely blocks…
Just like to add at CanSecWest's security conference where there were OSX, Linux & Vista machines competing against each other, Mac OSX was discovered to be the easiest to hack. The details of the security exploit is secret but is most likely due to security flaws in Safari. See this article for more details: [www.tech…
As Apple grows, it started to betray its core philosophies more and more. Now it is more concerned about generating sales & hype and neglecting the whole customer experience.
Better access? I just want Time Machine to work! The TimeMachine problems thread on Apple discussion forum reached 300+ posts with no solutions offered. Apple have had to lock the thread. Anyway, my Macbook Leopard installation just died. It boots up with the big gray prohibited sign. Guess I will just have to Windows…
wow so many comments. I don't think people watch enough Boston Legal. It's not about whether it's legal or not, it's all about how you can beat the law. :) I say, quickly go out and buy the movie/cd from a store, burn the receipt so they don't know you bought it AFTER the download then say you legitimately downloaded…
I am a Windows to Mac convert. I wish the Mac fan boys would stop talking crap. Macs have their share of problems too. It's been half a year since Leopard was released and still loads of bugs, e.g. X11, Bootcamp, Time Machine (and that's just me! There's bound to be thousands more out there). Even really simple bugs…
A major advantage of SuperDuper is that it works! Time Machine does not for many many users. Apple has totally rushed the release of Leopard and to be honest, it sucks. They are all concentrated on iPhones at the moment, leaving their MAC users to suffer.
A most popular post? A bet half the people clicking on the link was hoping for a get-rich-quick scheme. All this desperate hope is driving the financial scams from nigeria folks! Give it up!
I live in a studio apartment. By definition, everything is in the same room. ;) Hell, there's even a kitchen in my bedroom.
Wait... is the survey only for people flying around the US?
I appreciate the honesty of naming the post "Blatant bribery"! :)
I prefer the aluminium mac keyboards. Don't think there's much space underneath that for a DIY job. ;)
how easy is it to merge and verify two databases?
@razordu30: I agree with you. That's the same method that I use (if I'm not lazy!).
