She is the equivalent of an ad exec who got rich designing ads encouraging people to smoke but says to their kids - don't smoke. But doesn't quit their job or return any of the money made convincing other people to smoke. She can say anything she wants. Just like I can think she is part of a wider problem of women

Not a bad idea. Good luck. I hope you are healing, in body and spirit.

Yeah, that was unpleasant. Word of warning - if they figured out your due date, you may get stuff around then, too.

I don't expect her to quit her job, but I don't need her blathering on about the importance of intelligence when she uses her "bangin' bod" to make millions instead of her bangin' brain. It is not a parenting problem but a society problem. Where a woman can make millions for being pretty and prancing about in her

I understand wanting to impart your knowledge and life lessons to your children especially around career choices. (Don't go to law school kids. It's usually not worth it). My issue is that her work makes it harder for the rest of us to teach our daughters the same lesson she wants her daughter to learn. That's

That's great that she has that level of awareness, but, like I said to someone else, her work makes it harder for all of us other mother to teach our daughters that same lesson.

She has the means to walk away from modeling and invest in her education or something else, but she still chooses to be photographed for millions making it harder for regular moms to impart those lessons of brains over beauty to their daughters.

I am not condemning her career choices or her personally. I just think her statement is ironic given those choices.

Good for her daughter. But, I find this pretty ironic coming from a woman who not only perpetuates the same attitudes she is condemning, but profits off of them.

Good luck! That's a huge challenge.

Compost. And make sure the tomatoes get calcium to prevent blossom end rot. Depending on the varieties you plant/planted, a lot of those veggies will climb or need to climb. Greens will give you a quick hit of success - lettuce, spinach, and the like.

Congrats! Take it easy at first to prevent burnout or injury. I'm not a huge fan of couch to 5k but a lot of people like it. I prefer the Smart Coach app from Runner's World - it's also online. Don't be afraid to walk. Don't compare yourself to friends or other people running. There are tons of free groups out

Another explanation is that she may have physical indications of wealth but is cash poor. My mother recently lost her alimony (dad is an ass) so she looks like she's doing ok - house, car, etc - but she's in debt and has very little each month for expenses. Good luck.

I had a good friend back out of living together after I had found a place for us. I was upset but I understood because she had a really reason.I would talk to her after you move and settle in. If she doesn't talk or have a good reason, then screw her.

Google maps. Weather Channel.

Degree is the only stuff I can use - every other "traditional" brand gives me a rash. I worry so much that they're going to change the formula to whatever gives me a rash.

This is a departure from the bodily functions arena. I was at a criterium bike race that had events for both amateurs and professionals. It was early spring so the weather was crappy - overcast and misting. This was a mid-size midwestern city - there were cobblestone streets and lots of corners. During the amateur

I was once at Taco Bell that was robbed. The staff had to keep serving people while the cops were interviewing them.

I don't get all the elaborate parties before the wedding. My sister was in a wedding where the bridesmaid were expected to go to some island for five days and cover the bride's cost to travel there for the bachelor party. And that's just one example of many others. I've declined to attend a number of weddings for

Lunch alone by the window at work with a book or solitaire game on my phone is my moment of zen. No one asking me things or needing something or not eating or falling off their chair. Just me time. It's delightful.
