I’ve said it before, but I think Ford should go RWD on their next full size sedan, maybe based on the Mustang. Give it some neo retro styling, call it Thunderbird. It’s worked for Chrysler.

I remember having a die cast toy/model of one as a child with the swing wings. Young av geek me was very disappointed there never was an operational one.
Took a lot of nerve to make that emergency landing. Probably had to really gas it to get airborne again. Imagine the door made a big skrapow noise when it hit.
