Sounds awful. Best of luck on the rest of the car and we'd love to see more pics.

Loving the gauges. I had a Ventura back in the day and would've really appreciated those. Or even a working clock.
Glad he made it back. I really believe that generation had something we've lost in this country.
Thank you for that. He passed in ‘93.
My dad was in the navy in the pacific in WW2. He said they were told they’d be in for the duration of the war plus 6 months. At the time everyone thought that with luck they’d be home in ‘48. He was actually in Tokyo bay for the surrender. Considered himself very lucky to have come home at all.
Drove one of the very early fieros before they went on sale. Local Pontiac dealer had one on some kind of loan from GM and was promoting it to get customers. Sticker in the window had no price on it, said the car was property of GM and not for sale. Other than it being white and thinking how cool it was to drive it it…
I’m regularly telling customers that the AC is a closed system and doesn’t “use up” freon. If it's low it went somewhere. There's a leak. And I can only imagine how complicated the AC hoses etc are on one of these.
I have an ASE certified experienced tech with an RX8 who would come talk to you except the damn thing hasn't run in 3 years. They're horribly unreliable. Fun while they last though until those apex seals go.
Sign me up. I want t shirts and bumper stickers stat.
Wow. This is an unbelievable time to be alive. I know this is an old guy thing to say but hear me out. I remember watching Richard Nixon resign on a black and white 17" tv bought at western auto. I saved for weeks to buy a 20" zenith with an actual remote control. To think I’ve lived long enough to go from the nbc…
Toward the steering wheel and up, of course.
The craftsmanship on these coachbuilt classics was amazing. And this, btw, is truly a classic. Too many people now think anything old is a classic car. Most old cars, interesting though they may be, are just old.
1970 Challenger 440. A lot longer ago than I'm going to admit but safe to say that's the one I'll remember for the rest of my life and/or lucidity.
I'll bet she's unsafe at any speed too.
Too true. Between work and kids and now grandkids my wife of 15 years and I have essentially no time, and the time we can spend binge watching is very important to us. Fortunately we have largely the same taste in shows.
Got my picture made with Sankey couple years ago when he was a rookie. Nice guy. Won't draft him though.
1st gear: I know the Vette is an amazing car, IMHO it’s strayed too far from the original “everymans sports car” concept in price to be appealing to younger people. GM needs a lower price sporty car to entice younger buyers.
Yeah it's a great show but they slip occasionally, like having coke machines that take dollars.
Spoiler, I guess:
Most people don't even know what they're driving. Model, year, engine size; half my customers can't make a decent guess. I don't know how some people find their car in the parking lot.
