That sounds pretty high for a synthetic blend. Full synthetic maybe depending on what it was.

Is "they" the dealer? If so that labor rate sounds pretty reasonable. Pads on these things are expensive if you use OE. Couple hundred per axle for pads, add some tax, yeah I can see how we'd close in on a grand. Remember, if we aren't replacing rotors we're turning them, and that's where most of that labor comes…
No.
You'll hate yourself if you don't.
I can't find it anywhere, but I recall George Will on This Week saying years ago (maybe even about Di and Charles) that if the British want to run their country like a theme park that's their business.
So then why is it so expensive? For one thing, the Ferrari dealer charges about $150 per hour for labor.
I think you've definitely hit the nail on the head with research. Know what you're getting into. I'm in the auto repair business, and I can tell everyone that you're dead right, parts are expensive. Labor is about the same as anything else though. And if you can do your own work these cars can be an amazing bargain.…
Manning, I'd guess . Tennessee alum still active in that community and super popular.
I'll see you Toyota and raise you Honda. Seriously, how boring are most Hondas? Yeah, Civic Si is fun to drive and the new Fit has promise, but CRV? Accord? Pilot? Snooze.
Truck tires and passenger car tires are two completely different animals, despite the fact that they're both round and black. Passenger tires are simply not made to be regrooved. Period. You're getting dangerously close to the outer belt with potentially catastrophic results.
[As an aside, when was there last a young boy living in the WH? JFK Jr., maybe?]
Bust a headlight on a new car -$300. Bust a headlight on my old Pontiac -$7. And forget about changing the halogen capsules in a lot of cars. It's next to impossible. Sealed beam? 5 minutes with a screwdriver.
Buddy of mine back in the day welded a YIELD sign in the floorboard of his old bug. He also had a hand made wooden console attached to the floor with one cupholder and 4 slots for cassettes. (Yeah I said cassettes. I'm that old).
Has anyone had a chance to play this on last gen consoles? Some of us haven't been good enough to warrant an XBox one or PS4 under the tree.
When I was a kid, unless you had a bug, you had front engine RWD. There were essentially no 4WD trucks save the odd jeep and they weren't that common. You got snow tires, studded them sometimes, chains if need be, and just went. I don't ever remember my dad saying we couldn't go anywhere in his 67 Newport if we needed…
02 Ranger 4x2 3.0. And yeah lots of sand. But really if you have good tires for it and KNOW HOW to drive in the snow you can go. Got me home 6miles in 18" .
My son turned 25 the other day. He grew up on Mega Man and it's always been his favorite franchise. I can't look at anything related to it without seeing him sitting in front of his SNES playing X, explaining to his dad what the different bosses were. Seems like yesterday.
