I liked that movie a lot until I realized Lizard's head looks like a Goomba from the SMB movie.

Kain's voice actor is the shit. I'm told it's the hardest version of the game. I've played the PSP one, the GBA one, the SNES one and the SFamicom one, and out of those it certainly is. Don't skip it if that is your favourite one in the series. It's probably mine too.
