I ordered 9 things on amazon this weekend and i hope my city wins the amazon 2nd HQ. The biggest employer here pays no local property tax and was incentivized to build here. Then it brought 20k professional jobs to the area. This town has gone through a massive boom because of them and its a great city.

Products aren’t “Black” even if mostly black people use them. Most likely Walmart analyzed data to determine as narrowly as possible what products are stolen and require extra security, whether locking them in cases/containers, electromagnetic lanyards or tags, or escorting customers to the checkout. In the situation

You can’t have it both ways. She’s either an adult making a choice or she is not.

Counterpoint: they’re both consenting adults and you’re being judgemental.

Most teenage boys are sexually creepy because they dont know any better. I find it hard to believe that his older professional colleagues would allow that shit to happen more than once.

it is incredibly satisfying to be able to make those large purchases with money you saved up

If they make sure my drinks are refilled and take away plates between rounds without stealing the silverware, you bet I tip them 10% or so.

what cant we just have the news or life hacks in this case. I get so sick of hearing political crap. wether its republican or democrat or somewhere in the middle. you cant watch late night TV or any TV for that matter without someone bashing Trump or Palosi or some other political figure. that is what true stress is,

Yep, I mentioned this in a separate post. His wealth is from Amazon, not the WaPo, so it’s largely an irrelevant point re: whether they should be acquiesing to these demands.

How much money Bezos has shouldn’t really be an issue here. Sure he’s got tons of it, but we have to assume he’s trying to run the paper as a business not a charity. The paper needs to make money, not be subsidized by his personal fortune. So his net worth is irrelevant in this scenario.

Yeah, he is the richest man in the world, but that isn’t the point. What kind of profit does the company bring in? Would it make sense to raise wages based on that profit? Can they reach that amount of a profit for the next few years? Would they have to cut some employees in order to provide the wage increases?

I feel badly for these folks in the newspaper industry. It used to be a pretty respectable industry, both in terms of potential profits if you did your job well and in terms of respectability. It made for a good career.

Because it’s an insult that men should even WANT anything else, instead of falling over themselves to be with A Goddess Such As Themselves.

I’ll prolly get shit for this but whatever. I have a ton of sex toys of varying sizes, and I do have an interchangeable male/female doll torso, too (no space or money for anything larger). You are right when you say that I am not willing to engage in the emotional labor required for real sex. But that’s not because

My college ex, with whom I remained close friends for almost 20 years, got a Real Doll about 10 years ago. He’s a kind, sensitive, yet wildly insecure guy who has always had female friends and genuinely likes women. He said that he’d only masturbated (he refused to call it having sex) with his a couple of times, and

I don’t think that many men would rather fuck a doll than a real woman but for the ones that would, they are probably shitty human beings and horrible in bed so honestly, I have no problem with them fucking dolls the rest of their lives and never going near a woman.

It was a direct response to Aly saying that as youths they had reached out to “adults” but no one had listened. The judge was reflecting back to Aly, so that Aly would know she was heard. Also, abuse victims have a hurt child in them that truly does need to be addressed, maybe not on TV from a judge, but it is a huge

No way they’ll allow him the life-giving ambrosia of Big Macs and Diet Coke in prison.

Yeah, this. The “how many good years of retirement can I reasonably expect?” question is a tough one. The idea that I’m going to be working away my life and not get any “golden years” terrifies me.

Agreed. For me, this is a major point of reflection now that I turned 50. I exercise regularly, eat fairly healthy, keep my weight down, and am in good physical shape, but I have started noticing all these people (friends, acquaintances, celebrities, even people I don’t know in the Obituaries) that are dying in their
