Yeah, I typically enjoy the writing in SMT/Persona games, so there will always be exceptions. I'll have to disagree on the Tales series though, as I pretty consistently hate the writing in those games. They always just seem to play out like nonsensical stories with two-dimensional cookie-cutter characters and an

Problem is, I find it happens just as much with Japanese games that AREN'T part of a larger continuity. Stuff like Final Fantasy XIII, Tales of Xillia or my personal (least) favorite example of bad writing- Hyperdimension Neptunia.

Well... I haven't played Dark Souls but I played Demon's Souls and the story in that game seemed... largely an optional thing. Like, the game had a cool universe so I won't doubt there's some cool writing going on there in the background, but I've played the game beginning to end and I couldn't possibly summarize it's

I mean I'd like y'know... a well-written story. Good use of plot devices, a solid plot structure, the game universe setting it's own set of rules and then actually following them.

Why does this trend of Japanese games having horrendous, overcomplicated plots exist? Like, most of the Japanese games I've played have horribly written stories (Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, any JRPG of the last 5 years come to mind).

I only clicked this article to make sure someone posted a reference of some sort to this scene.

I like checking these lists every so often and am eagerly awaiting the day I see 11 great-looking games on the PS4/XB1 lists that actually justify buying one of those consoles.

I thought the cases themselves were more or less the same shape, but who am I to argue with the Overlord?

Not so much a "No games" joke as "far less games than PS3" joke. Same great taste with a twist, I suppose.

Good graphics, bad graphics, who cares?

It'd be a hard sell. As soon as anyone looked at your collection of supposed "PS4" games and noticed there were more than 3 of them, the gig would be up.

360, PS3, Mobile and probably XB1, PS4 and PC

I can see this being an issue exclusive to manga like Naruto and One Piece, where getting anywhere in the story typically takes about 10-20 chapters. Having a story arc spoiled when it probably won't officially reach it's conclusion for months could definitely hurt readership.

Don't forget South Park, Metal Gear Solid V, Titanfall, Yoshi's New Island and Professor Layton Vs. Ace Attorney!

So is Lemmings a fourth-person game then?

My thoughts exactly. I'm pretty okay with this outcome.

I bought a Vita just for this. Don't regret it at all. One of the best games I've ever played.

Persona 4 for Playstation 2 as well as it's remake Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita. I highly recommend playing it some time. One of the greatest games ever made.

Despite some negative comments regarding this being "stupid" and attempts to rile up religious folk by suggesting this is as legitimate as any real religion-

Happy Birthday 3DS! Thank you so much for Kid Icarus, Mario Kart 7, Luigi's Mansion, Fire Emblem, Phoenix Wright, Pokemon, Mario & Luigi, A Link Between Worlds, Virtue's Last Reward and Bravely Default! (Just to name a few)
