Oh my gawd that clay looks money!

You'd only use Sculpey if you were going to bake or paint the model.

It's Chavant, the same oil-based clay that's been used for centuries to make maquettes. Protip: if you put rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip it will smooth out the surface beautifully.

Keith's work makes me want to slap myself in the face repeatedly. And, the bastard is, like, twenty-six years old or something. *clenches fists in impotence*

There's something about that cutie from 'Friday Night Lights' which just doesn't seem believable in a big action movie. I know he's ripped and all, but I think it's his voice. But I guess boyfriend's gotta make Prius payments somehow. And at least he's more believable than Rihanna!

ALL OF THESE LOOK THE SAME. Next, please!

This is a different kind of recurve. I shoot a competition Hoyt and I also shoot a Saluki, like hers - it's like apples and oranges. The syahs on the traditional bows basically act as a turbo - the string hits the syah upon release and powers the arrow forward. It's like firing a gun. Incredibly satisfying, plus you

Kassai is one of the greatest mounted archers in the world. :) He's using the same kind of bow that girlfriend is up above - it allows you to draw and shoot really fast. I shoot one of these as well and it's actually pretty easy to shoot at speed - what I want to learn next is to shoot it off my horse - which is a

NEVER underestimate Eiko!

Bless you!

Weeeeell I was actually referring to Tina Turner's bitchin' shoulder pads, but I don't know how to attach an image.

I'm getting a serious 'two men enter, one man leave' vibe goin' on here.

I agree too. I started out super-psyched and then very quickly felt let down. It probably didn't help that I'd just read 'Skippy Dies' right before, which is one of the most powerful books I've read in years, but regardless, I thought Quentin was a boring hero and maybe waving the magic TV wand can make him more fun.

Um, 'Khaleesi A' is made of win.

CUMBERBATCH!

These are super-sassy. LOVE!

Nah - you'd think the fletchings would hurt, but they don't. That's how I shoot my Saluki! :)

Every young person I know who is learning archery through J.O.A.D. is trained to anchor at their chin, string at their nose, until they are strong enough to develop a bigger draw. Jennifer Lawrence trained for months.

Whether or not it's photoshopped, she's not going to shoot her finger off if the tip of the arrow is eight inches in front of her hand!

Did you watch it yet? Top 5 movie of the year for me. Give it a few - it's curiously slow-going, in the way of most Scandanavian filmmaking - but it will hook you in good. The main character is so amazing my husband and I argued throughout the whole film as to whether he was an actor or an actual troll hunter.
