You see it's GM competition regularly (mid-late 70's Malibus, Cutlasses, Monte Carlos, even the occasional Regal or Grand Prix)...but you never see these anymore:

Looks like the "Muscle American" got the inspiration for it's wheels from a mid-80's Monte Carlo.

If Ford actually uses the name "Phoenix" (doubtful), that would mean each of the big three would have manufactured a model bearing that name.

"Phoenix"...probably a 4 door hatchback of some sort.
