Using terrible Jatco CVT’s made of glass did a lot to harm their reputation in the 2000's. Our 120K 2013 Altima is on it’s third (first one under warranty, second one just out of warranty).

IMHO the next one should be a clean-sheet design. Time to move on from the ‘69 Camaro aesthetic. If they must go retro, evoke the 3rd Gen’s design to bring in a different demo.

Overhaulin’ did manage to return for another season in 2019-2020, but only via streaming (Motor Trend On Demand). No word on a new season as of yet.

I’m quite sure Hyundai’s 10 year/100000 mile powertrain warranty still helps sell a lotta Sonatas.
