The answer is 1st Gen Scion XB (aka Toyota Bb). Reliable, durable, and a lesson in space efficiency.

IMHO the next one should be a clean-sheet design. Time to move on from the ‘69 Camaro aesthetic. If they must go retro, evoke the 3rd Gen’s design to bring in a different demo.
