Better is an interesting word. It might be a better indicator of a "true champion" if they went back to that format. But I can't imagine baseball would be better if all but a couple teams were basically eliminated and had nothing to play for by the end of August.

I had no idea Caliente carries FW. I can't thing of anywhere else in the area that does.

People that still think the use of Marijuana is a bigger problem to our society than the punishments of said use really are just the best. I hope Palini continues the good fight that is undoubtedly the only thread holding together the moral fiber of our society

While that would be awesome to see Weird Al play, 150k is roughly 0.1% of the Super Bowl audience so the NFL is probably not making a terrible move by ignoring it.

I was wondering what the hell I was reading. This is some of the worst writing I've read in a long time on this site. Most of it made no sense at all. How could Sean post this while sober?

I think Page 2/Grantland would have to be Top 5. I would also include 30 for 30 and '90's Sportscenter (The Big Show if we want to get even more specific).

I was at the game and it was pretty horrifying. The ball went so far in the air after hitting him it looked like a high popup (you can kind of tell in the replay by the amount of time it takes for the homeplate umpire to give the out sign). On a night with perfect weather and a great pitching performance, this took

Well, to be fair you could have just said 25. The going on 26 part was redundant since every 25 year old is going on 26. It's not like he was about to turn 26 either so it was kind of a stretch on your part to make him sound older.

Even worse for me was when he referred to Southern California as his "homeland".

You're right in that objectivity is the rule in journalism however I don't believe that Simmons is, or tries to be, a "journalist". He is a commentator/columnist which requires him to be giving his opinion on whatever topic he's discussing. Without any bias that role would little value. If he was anchoring

If they spent a semester in Ireland they better be coming home an expert in Rugby, Hurling, or Gaelic Football. Soccer ranks behind all three over there (but still obviously huge compared to here usually)

Basically everything Clickhole has done has been pretty outstanding so far.

The pitcher had the ball the whole time

Definitely seems like he's making more of a big deal about the fact that he dropped the catch, not about not getting the ball. Just appears to be joking around.

"People in Pittsburgh won't like to hear this but these Penguins were never going to win a Stanley Cup with the roster as it's currently constituted."

Depends on the destination of the week. In Vegas it was the fancier stuff but most other episodes focus on street and local. I would say there's even more of an emphasis on local culture than there was on NR. I highly recommend checking it out.

Ha fair enough. Agree with everything you said there. Good talk.

I agree with you completely when it comes to rivalries between fans. Since this was actually players fighting I'm just saying they don't care as much as fans do about what happened before they were on the team. I believe being in the same division (and thus playing each other 20 times a year) does make a difference

That last 7 seasons stat is nice and all from a fan rivalry perspective but most players weren't on the teams that far back and probably don't care about their head to head record in 2008. Between last year and this year the Pirates-Brewers are pretty much even head to head so it DOES make sense that there would be
