I agree. It was either intentional or stupid, I was just disputing the idea that him watching on the scoreboard is somehow "genuinely not paying attention".

Not defending him but I've been on the sideline for a college football game in a pro stadium and on a lot of plays (especially kickoffs) the view you get looking at the scoreboard is MUCH better than the one you would get watching the play live.

Yes but only having 3 rushers also theoretically allows the receivers time to get down the field which gives them the chance for a touchdown, doesn't mater if the throw was perfect or tipped.

Except those teams have virtually 0 chance to win the tournament. Many Wild Card teams are going to be as good or better than other division winners (in record and ability). So, pretty poor comparison.
