Your math makes sense, but not all vehicles are created equally (obviously).

I don’t agree with that. PUBG was built from the ground up specifically for this type of game, and still has plenty of room for improvement in my opinion.
If Rockstar ever decided to do it properly with 100+ players on GTA V, it would take over. Weapons, health items, and whatever else scattered all over the place. There aren’t a whole lot of enterable buildings, but loot in alleys, on rooftops, or wherever else they can hide them, would keep the gameplay essentially…
No, it’s not gambling. It’s nothing like gambling at all actually. You can’t “win” your money back, you can’t win more money to spend on the game, you can’t leave with more money than you started with... you don’t get any money at all.
I understand all of that, but if the thing you’re most upset with is the development and how long it’s taken, it’s important to understand that it hasn’t taken nearly as long as you think it has. The mod wasn’t made by a team, it was made by one guy in his spare time. There was no team put onto it until BI actually…
You’re 2, nearly 3 years off. Development started at the END of 2013 — as in December. You said “early 2011". The point is you’re exaggerating because you have a hate boner for the game. We get it, you hate DayZ. So put your money where your mouth is and stop playing it, stop reading about it, stop talking about it.…
The mod came out in 2012, not “early 2011". And the standalone started from scratch in 2013. Again, I know it doesn’t fit your narrative, but at least use some facts once in awhile.
It’s been 4 years, but I know that doesn’t fit the DayZ hate parade’s narrative.
So the way it works is, you go around looting houses and whatnot, while this big blue circle is constantly closing in on you, forcing you to run to the middle of the map where you then count up and evenly divide everything that you looted with everybody. If you don’t have enough to go around, you die. The last guy…
It sickens me to no end that kids are given, not just cellphones, but smartphones, practically from birth these days. I probably sound old as hell, but kids don’t need them. Kids should not be taking videos of themselves and sharing them online. We’re not talking about 16 year olds here, these kids are doing it at 8…
The chat is absolutely horrid. How bad is it you say? Well aside from the crashing, and the overall lag you get from simply using it, you can’t even visit a hyperlink that someone sends you. Even that wouldn’t be so bad if you could just copy the URL and paste it into a browser, but you can’t do that either. If there…
Why can’t you report them? Just because you can’t see the message doesn’t mean Facebook can’t. Submit the report if you’re truly bothered by it.
I don’t think the Squad devs will get sued though. They probably got a C&D letter and simply removed them, rather than pay royalties to keep them in. The upside is Humvees are being phased out by the US anyway, so their removal is actually an accurate change.
Now THAT is some anti-cheat! All the times I’ve wanted to show up to some cheating asshole’s house and slap him across the head... now I get to see it in action. This is fucking awesome.
Ah, okay. That makes sense. SD and OC look a lot alike in many places, and this looked a lot like the neighborhood I lived in up in Tustin.
Random guess, but is this Tustin by chance?
I feel like a more established game studio could easily make something like this that on release looks and plays smoother
Groundwork doesn’t matter, it’s paying the staff that matters. So extrapolate out how long it takes them to make the DLC at $10k/month, and then you’ll have your answer of how much it costs them to make that DLC.
As someone who has had many friends pass away, it’s hard to see their name as only a memory. But moments and memories like that can never be taken away from you, even if they were. I hope you took screenshots of all those moments to keep.
