WHY DID THIS TECHNOLOGY NEVER HAPPEN

I know that I bought a hell of a lot of stuff at 18, 19 with my part time job money that was just silly. Expensive silly. I wasn't paying for rent or tuition. So my mad money was mad money. I have bills now.. I sure couldn't pay for a $300 handbag now, but when I was a kid with no bills, yeah. High end make up?

Seriously. $300 on a belt? BFD. I've spent $300 at Target in one sitting on cheap shoes and decorative pillows. Hell, I've spent it in the drug store on Revlon and nail polishes. It's nobody's business how we spend our money, no matter how foolishly.

How can we show our support?

What people don't think about is the psychological effect that events like this, and policies like Stop-and-Frisk, have on the victims and their communities. It's not a simple inconvenience.

Former retail worker here: I second that completely - people used to try and explain to me why they were buying stuff as though I would judge them, but it was seriously out of my mind the second I served the next person.

Christ people, stop focusing on the 300 dollar amount. So not the point of the story. Everyone should be allowed to spend his/her legally earned money as he/she sees fit. From Oprah to the teenager from queens.

This is disgusting. As a born and raised working class, minority New Yorker I have always gone to Barney's for my "treat yoself" needs and know a lot of working class regular people who do as well. Over the years I've spent thousands on cosmetics and their sale items for myself and my friends (never any big

People: commenting on the cost of the belt or the look of the belt is really not important. Stop. It would be the same as if I got arrested after I bought a $300 video card at Fry's just because of my ethnicity. There are plenty of things that we can judge people for spending $300 on if we're dicks.

Not to mention he was responsible in seeing something he wanted and saving up for said desired item. What.The.Hell!

BUT THE PRESIDENT IS BLACK. WHY CAN'T YOU SEE HOW BLACK THE PRESIDENT IS?

I am beginning to suspect all the white people who said racism was Over (tm) might not have been speaking from knowledge.

So much yuck. His debit card was approved for the purchase, he showed ID, the store made its money.

Some people are such assholes.

He should have his mouth washed out with soap.

Augh, no kidding. I can still remember the abject terror at seeing my ankles the the size of my pre-pregnancy thighs after Thing 1 was out. Shudder. Never happier to pee every ten minutes.

That's it. The world according to Nice Guys goes:

For the rest of my life I will never forget having this conversation with my brothers: Me: "you know, McCain is awful, but if he was elected I wouldn't be fearful, just resigned to our fate. However, with Palin on the ticket, I'm actually afraid of the possibilities". My brothers: "What are you talking about? She's

I think it's kinda bullshit to discount that Bar has genuine feelings of sadness and loneliness because she's a gorgeous model. The boo-hoo sentiment in some of these comments is pretty uncool. Callie's right, it's sad.

Yes, that's a valid argument. I just took a bit of umbrage to the OP saying it was "gross" to take a husband's name. It's not gross, it's just a woman's prerogative to exercise her choice, and I tend to think most women give it careful consideration. It's gross if a woman is forced to do it, for sure.

I would've gone with reheated baked ziti.
