super cool, but I’ve always dreamed about dropping a VTEC motor in my ‘86 CRX Si, and ditching the front motor altogether.   200hp and 1/2 the complexity as the doubled motored one.   Still, if I had $20k burning a hole in my pocket I’d get this just because it’s awesome.

but not the hybrid :(

GREAT wheels!     For color change I humbly suggest BMW “Frozen Blue”.   I parked next to an i3 that had been repainted in this satin/matte finish the other day and it looked fantastic.  Accd to the owner it was easy peasy to care for as well, not showing swirl marks or fingerprints like my glossy red one.

not a great, or even good deal. Plenty of 94Ah 2017 i3s (60Ah base versions with <100miles of range were also available in 2017, which these probably are) with nice options and low miles around for well under $20k.

Any Audi.

Is your mom Italian? Much like “Mozzarella en Carrozza”.

cool video.  Why didn’t you go with a Pacifica?

oh no the WRX only makes 268hp, a whole 7 hp less than the Hyundai? Scratch it off the list!!!

James’ eloquently put my thoughts into words, from when I sold my 308GTS in 2012 after owning it for 5 years. Plus, moving from Milwaukee to Houston meant instead of easy access to twisty roads and not much need for AC, I now live in driving hell where strong AC is a must ~8 months out of the year. Funny that we also

My father is named as one of two plaintiff’s in a lawsuit against Greg Abbott that was filed this morning. Fingers crossed this gets reversed, quickly and at least a few republicans see it for what it is: a blatant attempt to suppress votes. Not holding my breath on the last one though.   https://www.dallasnews.com/new

took that pic on the drive home from BMW dealer in Dallas where it had sat on a BMW lot for 6 months, to Houston (multiple level 2 charges done along the route). Got tinted 1 week later. Sounds like you got a very good deal on yours. Red is pretty rare, and looks fantastic IMO. Where did you buy,

right on. When my lease is up next June I’ll be looking to buy a 2017 or 2018 BEV to replace it (or if BMW offers me $10k off my RV to buy out the lease, like others are currently reporting). Awesome car, unlike anything else on the road.

2018 i3 leaser here - the rear doors have an interior door handle, do you mean that backseat passengers can’t get out unless a front door is open? I’ve had a handful of situations in 2 years of driving where the rear doors were a pain (someone parks close to me and have to work around both doors open blocking entry)

wake me up when the put the engine in the middle, with starting price ~$35k.  A C8 or Cayman for those of us without $60k to blow on a fun car.

I just got mine replace at Costco for ~$750 all in. They run $150 coupons every now and then. I did get just 16k miles on the first set, but here in Houston the concrete roads are like 40 grit sandpaper. Cost of doing business.

2017 BMW i3s are available around $20k.    When my 2018's lease is up next June I was hoping to cross shop the Soul EV, but will likely now buy a 2017/2018.  Unless BMW drops it’s RV from $31k to $21k (which supposedly a guy on the i3 Facebook group just experienced) I’ll be returning it and buying another.

if we got the version with sliding doors I’d already have one.

why are there cracks in the wheels?

For me? Crack Pipe.

Engineers.  A buddies son just graduated from Texas A&M (not even the main campus) and got a job at our company for $75k/yr, with starting bonus.   Timing was good as it was just before COVID hit, don’t know if that would happen today...
