I saw an episode where they were asked to do a house in mid century modern style. Joanna insists on calling it some garbage like “messy mid century modern” and the homeowners ended up with, I kid you not, a black ceramic deer head mounted on the wall with a frame around it.
It’s an interesting take on the genre. In almost every other reno show, the designers try to express the interests of their clients. This is the only show hell bent on recreating the same room in every house, regardless of the preferences of the owners.
