I was thinking Sideshow Bob.

Michelle Obama?

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain all this. The benefits of the introductory courses must be why some people still claim to "believe" or "practice" even after they left the church. And they still seem to respect LRH which seems totally weird to me.

Thanks for the Village Voice rec! Super helpful, esp. the stories about the Sea Org.

No, but I'm still sick so I guess I'll head to the Village Voice next. :)

I'm home sick today so I've spent an embarrassing amount of time reading about Scientology, particularly Marty Rathbun's blog. And I still don't understand any of it. It's totally bizarre.

Sure, I was really skinny through my 20s and could eat anything. But I don't believe that she doesn't work out because she looks fit and toned. Most people have to work out to have muscle definition.

Yeah, I'm thinking a least half of these are joking, right???

Maybe she got posted after she got the wrong info from CNN or Fox and then sort of corrected herself when she found out the court ruled in favor?

Why do you say that?

This is so true. When I was pregnant, I was so wrapped up in preparing for the delivery. Even my mid-wife was like "you know, the delivery is only a few hours—better to learn about what to do AFTER the baby is born." I was so insulted at the time, but my gawd she was right.

This. When I gave birth, my water never broke so when my son came shooting out so did gallons of water all the way across the room. My hUsband said it was slo-mo, like The Matrix.

I agree that these would be the ideal. We have one in the small city I live in but it's on the other side of town from me so we went with a closer traditional hospital. I had a "natural" delivery but the nurses weren't very supportive. If I were to have another, I would drive across town to the birthing center and

Lee Ann Rimes makes a terrible step-mother. WTH on that cake?

My office has a gym so I could work out at lunch but I'd be a sweaty red-faced mess for the rest of the day. How do you get around that?

It's not too late to learn—lots of bike shops offer basic maintenance classes.

Life is so uncertain—siblings die too unfortunately.

The pain of insertion is not that bad! After reading comments on articles like this one I was convinced that I could not tolerate the pain, but I finally decided to try it. I mean, I had a 28 hour meds-free childbirth but THIS scared me?? I got my Mirena about 6 months ago and it hurt for the 5 minutes of insertion

The protocol from [acne.org] works great for me and is simple and inexpensive. My skin (late 30's) is pretty clear now and not irritated. Turns out I needed to moisturize my oily skin!
