It isn’t rampant. That’s my point. I never said abuse doesn’t exist. It does. But the appreciable effect is not as big as you think it is. Not only that, but no one can prove that it is in economic terms.

This is the same argument used against welfare and used to enforce voter ID. AKA throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Just because it has been abused doesn’t mean it’s a bad program, and it doesn’t make all uses of it abuse.

Then if they are niche tech workers, there is a small pool of Americans to grab from. If there is a small pool, let’s pull from a bigger pool. Don’t abuse it, but the option should be there.
