I also enjoy the mobile offline aspects (paid) and passcode lock (free) from Evernote, but I still find myself switching back and forth since the only lock-in mechanism seems to be those with a vast amount of media notes as opposed to me (mostly text, so it’s easy to convert over).

I’m still looking for that standout feature (aside from better/faster) syncing that makes me finally choose between OneNote and Evernote from year to year.

I’ll start using Earny or Paribus if they figure out how to work with Amazon’s 2-Factor Authentication logins. To be fair, I don’t know of the engineering challenges that would go on behind the scenes to get this working, but I do know that I’m not removing 2-Factor for this service. Chicken <> egg

Thanks so much for following up and writing this after my 11/15 request, wishes do come true!... but I really should’ve wished for more wishes instead. Cheers

I’m planning on conducting a project to digitalize old photobooks soon, is there any chance Lifehacker is planning a comparison between this and Photomyne (and other similar apps) anytime soon?

Lifehacker, always two steps ahead, whenever a tech annoyance hits that I ignore, there’s an article up soon after about how to fix it. Thanks mind readers. #complement

I realize that they’re investigating monetization strategies through recommended articles and spending engineer hours there, but I really wish they’d work on improving the social aspect. The web interface to share articles to friends is subpar, and there’s no article commenting interface other than exporting to

With the new iMessage updates, some of the fancy updates (ex.- double tap for a beating heart animation) have no indication of being sent. Instead, you double tap a few times and realize you’ve sent the message many times over without knowing it until you exit back to the main texting screen.

I hope Pocket either learns from this and copies the functionality, or that there’s an IFTTT feature that allows me to import all of my Pocket links into Stash. eh?

I love the dictation button, but why isn’t it available from any third party keyboards? I would use the Google or Microsoft keyboards exclusively if they had that functionality as well. :(

The free iOS app ‘ICE Contact’ essentially does the same thing and is app independent, as an alternative to Strava’s subscription offer. PS- Dear Strava, if you let me challenge MY FRIENDS to a virtual race/challenge instead of just the general userbase, I’d gladly pay for your subscription service.

That sounds like a great story, and I wish you continued success. As mentioned, I’d really enjoy one of those career articles on your background that Lifehacker does, would make for a very interesting ‘How I Work’ series. Thanks for all the background info, and even though my reply is short, I enjoyed reading all of

Agree, but mostly because they were bought out by LogMeIn.

Hi there Rae, may I ask how you got started? I work for a marketing agency and we occasionally outsource transcripts, which is sometimes a lucrative business for those that are skilled at it. I’d like to see one of those full career article write-ups on how you came to be in your remote role and what tools you use. :)

I absolutely love this feature, and wonder why the other running apps haven’t implemented something similar, specifically Strava. In that one, I enjoy the group challenges, but I care much more about the friends that I know and setting up challenges with those that I talk to and care about is more important to me than

Agree entirely, Fidelity for my ‘big money’ retirement account, and RobinHood for my cheaper (free) stock plays of companies I enjoy following.

If this could export to my main running app (Strava) or any of the like, I’d definitely use it, but I like to keep my runs logged in my main application. Does it do that?

The app is great, one of the best audio tour platforms on the market (I’ve used it a few times including on a recent tour of San Framcisco’s Mission district), but their city availability in the US could use some growth.

Personally, I take the time during conference calls to enjoy the fact that I finally get a chance to be ‘paid’ to complete some of my household chores / errands.
