I’m writing in to note that they eventually gave in and adopted the Southwest free refund model.
Jetblue isn’t all that great tbh, they’re only allowing for rebooking for “NEW” flights that are purchased after 2/27, not if you’ve previously booked for upcoming travel at all. In the meantime, a big shoutout to Southwest for always allowing for free cancellation and rebooking. Please update this article to reflect…
On that note, automated grocery shopping is a thing... though in my area Amazon Prime Now remains the cheapest (and lacks automated ordering features). Any chance a lifehacker article might surface soon comparing online grocery shopping options - (fees, a comparison for a typical order for a single + a family)?
Any idea on what was actually outsourced as far as non-core life things?
Shout out to Southwest Airlines for sending me a $100 voucher after a two hour delay, which arrived in my inbox BEFORE I EVEN LANDED at the next destination. I was ready to put on my mean face and then saw that and felt like I was treated by a human as a human, so I went about with my day.
While living in New York should allow me the opportunity to institute Barney Stinson’s “Lemon Law” from the show “How I Met Your Mother” in that either party is allowed to say Lemon Law and leave the date within the first five minutes, no questions asked, after which you’re to at least stay for the duration of one…
I realize this might not be exactly what you’re looking for, but, I’d love to see the Lifehacker articles updated for the comparisons between note taking tools (OneNote, Evernote, etc.), password managers (Dashboard, LastPass, 1Password, etc.), fitness apps (Zworkit, Nike Training Club, ClassPass Go, etc.), grocery…
What kind of speed decreases might one see by enabling MS Bitlocker?
Why? UI, security, ?
When can we expect the Lifehacker article about the best of Apple’s new ‘Shortcuts’ app? Pretty please!
I looked into that (thanks), but I’d like to not lock users to just an app but to not be able to click any buttons within the app either (as in not to ‘like’ a photo if I hand over my instagram).
In the same manner, I’d love a ‘screen lock’ feature when you hand off your phone to a friend to see a photo/etc.
I’m really liking this app (no relation to them) that sends me a pop-up to reach out to certain friends after self-defined periods of time. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/garden-stay-in-touch/id1230466454
Given the amount of stress testing that Boeing, Airbus, etc. planes go through before landing in the various bus stations to airports around the world, that should put one at ease.
Hi again all, just an FYI that this ‘bug’ is now fixed, at least on my end with Google’s latest rolled out SaaS update, but YMMV.
Well all, at least they’re fixing it later this summer:
I think it’s a bug because every other ‘routine’ has multiple options.
I just wish that when I said ‘Hey Google, I’m leaving’, that it’d turn off my music instead of just my lights. Update the Routine please, I’m lazy! :)
I usually just ask to check my bags and have my tip visibly ready when I’m asking. I think of it as win win, you can stow your stuff and they get a tip for what they’d be doing anyway.
