I wonder if there are any battery life advantages to offline maps? I realize you may still be sucking juice via GPS, but if you're lost and only have 20% battery life left, would quickly downloading offline maps be the way to go? It seems to be a better option than draining it via LTE, or perhaps I'm just constantly

I can't help but wonder if he would've experienced the same pain, had he worn more comfortable shoes, and also had one of those floor pads meant for those that do stand for long periods (like at a register/etc.) that are specifically meant to avoid fatigue. We'll never know...? I do have both, and without them, I'd

Hmm, I think I'm being misunderstood. A while back I created a Facebook group called 'close friends', so I typically click on that filter in my news feed to filter out the noise from acquaintances. Turns out, it was easy to modify the settings for this new Facebook 'nearby friends' feature so that only they can see

The main reason I wrote is because I find this to be a really useful feature and wanted access ASAP. Considering that 24 hours later I now have the feature enabled, I guess I was a bit judgemental to assume it would be weeks away. Still, I've been burned in the past.

Is anyone else sick of companies (looking at you Facebook and Google) pre-announcing features? I'm sure it's a great marketing technique, but it would be nice if when I heard about something like this, it was available to use right now, instead of 'rolling out over the coming weeks'. Why not just tell me 'in the

I've had similar thoughts. I wonder if this and a couple of other recent bug 'fixes' were exploits that Snowden reported and are now being fixed. I'll put my tin hat back on now, thank you.

Speaking of typing 7 pages on her phone, I feel like that's how she replied here too. Oh well, we'll take what we can get!

When she refers to taking notes about everyone she meets in Evernote, I'm curious if it's through Evernote "Hello". It drives me crazy that the application doesn't allow you to edit notes on

Sorry for the confusion, but I was focused more on the 'send-it-later' type feature than the initial event creation.

Yes - thank you for this! I tried the 'Ever2One' program last week but immediately noticed the phishing scam. Now if OneNote would only support iOS passcode protection like Evernote, I'd have few reasons to look back (I'm not a power user, just a note taker).

If there is some add-in for Google Calendar that will email friends (that don't use Google Calendar), what are you using if not Boomerang? I'd love that feature-set.

So... what are the major differences now between OneNote and (paid) Evernote? I'd love to see a detailed recent comparison.

Not exactly for Android (yet), but on the web I use plug.dj which does essentially the same thing but tends to cater towards the electronica crowd. Does that one work on your mobile browser?

Anddd they updated the App today - palm to face. I hereby take back my last statement.

Thanks for checking - the more I use Evernote and its services, the more I notice many little oversights such as this. It makes me feel like we're beta testers more than product users. Oh well, they can continue to drain my bank account until Microsoft improves OneNote syncing for iOS.

Is the difference between this service and Blinkist that this service offers short snippets - so you actually read parts of the book, while Blinkist summarizes the entire book?

Is there any news of an app update for DayOne coming anytime soon? I recall an article a while back promising new features (such as multiple photos per day), but haven't seen anything since the iOS7 updated version.

I'm hooked on Refresh, it's always great in a pinch to look someone up prior to a meeting (business or personal contacts). A lot of the calendaring apps seem to be copying their approach, but their interface still wins hands down in my opinion.

Can you edit the information in the full desktop version of Evernote yet, or still only in the mobile app? I tried this a few versions ago and that was an extremely frustrating oversight on their behalf. I'd like to be able to edit those notes from anywhere, not only by pecking away on the tiny iOS keyboard.

Not an app, yet*, if a recent survey is an indicator of what's to come.
