Fondue isn't the worst: Raclette is the really tricky one, because it's just warm cheese scraped onto the plate, not mixed with alcohol (white wine and sometimes kirsch) like fondue. If you have cold, non-alcoholic drinks with raclette, it apparently turns rock hard in your stomach and you become violently ill.

Do want: The sense of wonder, world-building and downplayed humo(u)r of the first clip.

@n3onkn1ght: These are just promos and tests, nothing finished.

Actually he wasn't raised by a "famous scientist", but by a "famous...scientist".

I enjoy reading these pieces as much as you probably hate having to write them. I imagine you come up with these intricate theories during screenings to keep your brain from liquifying and trickling out your ears.

@artiofab: There is something incredibly creepy about hearing a piece of plastic speaking with Bob Peck's voice.

Lower left corner: Bicentennial Man. The few others I spotted have already been mentioned.

How ironic is it that Rare Exports is a rare export? I'm in Scandinavia, and I can't even find a way to see this. And I really do need some holiday anti-cheer. Humbug.

@Beatcamel: The first one is coming to a screen near you, under the title Sucker Punch.

@moiety: I'm going with L-space, myself.

@Rossum: I'm a fan of the Doctor! He gives me the Cures whenever I have the Illnesses. I'm told he is also on the Television now.

Hey, that's the law branch of the Royal Library in Copenhagen! Fantastic place, I sneak in there whenever I'm in town, just to soak up the atmosphere. I want to live in a library when I grow old.

Neodicies sound like exactly what I need! Must be heaps better than my usual coping mechanism (see above).

@it must be bunnies: Ah, an old favorite and I haven't heard that version in years and years. Thank you!

Now playing

No no, that's not what you pick from Labyrinth! It's Underground or nothing. Underground or Within You or nothing. Or Chilly Down, or...12-year-old me wanted to live in that movie, kay?

@packetloss: wat: They barely look old enough to remember the 80s, but...that was awesome.

Now THAT would be worth my $16! And I love that he's screening it from actual reels, not digitized.

@higgance: Only other one I can think of right now: Clancy Brown and Jeff Goldblum (or it may have been Brown and Weller) went around on set reenacting the "Mau!" scene from Deer Hunter, making people guess what it was.
