Hakarl is not that bad. It leaves an ammonia aftertaste so you definitely don't want to eat it *last*, but it's not half as bad as I was expecting it to be. It doesn't really taste like anything.

I agree this is a fire hazard, HOWEVER, I have such a small amount of space in my kitchen that I am always putting flammable stuff on my stove anyway. So it's no more of a fire hazard than usual.

This is also a good way to trigger a mid- (or in my case, quarter-) life crisis.

According to both my apartment management office AND Verizon, my apartment is "already wired for FiOS". Whatever that means. I'm considering switching to FiOS from Comcast. Does that mean my installation won't take that long? Does it mean I don't have to have a huge box installed?
