If the battery dies then the gun would fully deactivate and you would have to take it in to licensed gun store to be recharged. You know what would be cool? ID tagged guns. That way people who don't have means of getting them from underground dealers would be in a way blocked from using them until a certain age. You could even put chips in people, so that the gun deactivates when you try to pull the trigger on them.
