My issue with Onward is that they never let the kid meet his dad, for the thinnest in plot reasons. Like, I get that that’s sort of the point but come on. Soul at least more naturally fit into the universe.

It depends on the flashback, sometimes it’s clear that someone is mentally thinking in detail about a time in their past. The character either stares into space or another character snaps them out of it.

Why would they lie about it? They’re implementing same sex concubines on this update and committing to do gay marriage on the next one. What would possibly be the reason to do a minor delay.
