That’s funny since they have publicly announced that the next attempt will be a land target. I'm gonna guess you're talking 100% out your ass. And nobody who does this calls themselves a rocket scientist, unless that's for the benefit of the layperson

Because it stands to reason that you would get rid of apps you don’t use. Plus pressing the home button in any home screen takes you to page 1. Why would I give space on the first and easiest screen to get to on apps I will never use?

Every widget you listed I have quick at hand in the drop down or pull up menu, why I duplicate that on my valuable home screen space? Now lockscreen widgets I can get behind cause they are actually useful.

You might want to remind him that our highest head of state is a fucking Queen

I tried doing this with my HTC One and all the launcher replacements result in a sluggish and crash happy experience. Also that stupid triple dot nav bar always appears and eats a ton of my space. My iPhone might be limited but it works, widgets are a neat idea but the reality is that they offer very little. Toggles?

More app discovery. Unless the user is an idiot first page should be frequently used apps, so the stuff that does the most for them

That's the worst way to do it, why would people do this?

Look up orbital mechanics and just where this rocket comes down. Manoeuvring taking fuel. Fuel costs weight. Not to mention soft targets near the landing site

It's called domain squatting, you buy a domain before it becomes valuable then sell it to an interstes party.

Becaus you have to be stupid and uninformed to think that is the most likely answer

We won't have to, the first responders will for us

It's a false sense of security built on the fundamental stupidity and pride of drivers who don't know how unreliable they are.

If cooking routinely killed 40,000 people a year then yeah it might be worth considering.

It cannot itself be sexist, however people can use it in sexist ways.

Why is it bullshit? The basic idea, that our minds work the way they work as a result of pressures and evolution makes a lot of intuitive sense(though that doesn't pin it as accurate)

The conclusions people draw are possibly(probably) wrong in many

A gif would have been great, because quite honestly they pared this UI down to so little that the video really feels unnecessary.

Stylistically they have some issues with this design but in terms of ability to convey information: they are doing it right.

Crowdsourced romance? Sounds lazy and awesome

I don't have this problem(on my iPhone) because it has a much more restricted background app policy.

Apps should not be running 24/7, if they are then in my mind they are being a bad actor

Well it conveys the intended information in a very spartan way, it's immediately apparent what the car is conveying to you.

It looks somewhat bland and uninspired at the moment but the core idea is sound.

I'm curious why you feel like you're more a part of analogue gauges?

did you even watch the video?
