I literally cried when I first heard that engine note back in 2010. No joke. I cried. Tears came to my eyes because it was so beautiful. Side note: I don't cry.

That sound does things to me. I actually get chills.

Now playing

I'm not sure if I'd name it as the very best, but I nominate the V10 in the Lexus LFA for its sound alone.

Try not to be a cunt. Oh, oops, I hope I didn't offend your equality-feelings by using the equivalent objectifying put-down. Unfortunately, you are wrong. The guy at the club that you go home with based purely on physical attraction and sexual desire (no slut-shaming, I swear!) has the chance to reproduce with you.

what most people miss when comparing the GT-R to the LFA pricing is that the LFA's design incorporate a carbon fiber tub chassis, the cheapest mass production car with a carbon tub is the MP4-12C, and even that isn't exactly mass produced nor cheap at $239,400.

They sound alone is worth the price.

I'm not digging the less polarizing look. The Spindle grille looks great on Lexus' sedan offerings. Young people (Lexus' target audience) loves how modern the new look is, and old cynical bastards are just old cynical bastards with boring tastes.

well let's put this into perspective. To a person's body, 0°F is very cold, 100°F is very hot, 0°C is freezing, 100°C is death. The degrees in Fahrenheit are more precise and relevant to the human body.

I want an FTO, I know they aren't that fast but I hear they are a lot of fun to drive and pretty reliable. They also aren't very expensive, I've seen them going for $4,000-$7,000. I really wouldn't mind a Skyline, Eunos Cosmo, Sierra Cosworth or something like that but I can realistically afford an FTO.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but there's a few facts about the GT-R you've got wrong, or rather, facts you're ignoring.

I own a 91 300ZX TT. My dad owns a 97 Supra TT, 01 WRX and a 97 R33 GT-R. The GT-R is on another level when it comes to driving it. I freaking love that car.

When did gaming get to the point where people care more about how good something look than how fun it is?

Sure it does.

or jalopnik's favourite son, the miata

Or a ZR1

nissan GT-R, the only car just for us mere mortal..

The longer I live the more and more I think that Ferrari buyers are just dumbasses. My neighbor bought one last year, drove it maybe a 1000 miles and now it just sits in the garage every day, even on the nice ones, like most Ferraris. At least the guys with the Porsches take them out all the time and drive them

Between the "buy a Ferrari to get on the list to buy another Ferrari" and the whole sending ringers to the auto press, I get a kinda sour taste in my mouth from Ferrari. It's not like I'm in the market for one any time soon, but I can see why people like Jay Leno would not care for them.
