People get a little too fanatical about this, in my opinion. Does a countdown to a countdown feel a little anti-climactic? Sure. Is it worth all the rage happening on the internet right now? No, people need to step away from the internet for a bit.

Exactly in what ‘situation’ does it work then? Weapon Arts that give you mega-poise work for sure, but they work whether you’re wearing armor with max poise or naked, with zero difference.
I’m confused as to why this is being considered anything other than a huge bug. Poise is listed in the game numerous times, various weapon arts/spells grant poise bonuses, seems like it’s just not actually turned on. Would seem a bit silly to remove poise as an actual thing and then reference it 100+ times.
This was my thought as well. The whole reason consoles are attractive for development is that it’s a locked system. The people saying, “well it’s just one more setup and they don’t have to do it” are kidding themselves. You damn well know every major publisher is going to want to advertise their games with 4.5…
So on one hand: Okay, well that avoids the New 3DS issue.
Look, I’m no lawyer, but these guys are straight up out of their mind if they think they’re going to win a case here. I would go so far as to say that Sterling actually has a better case against them with the evidence they’ve presented, than they do. Lucky for them, he’s probably above that and won’t bother.
This certainly seems like something Kickstarter should be handling and not leaving it on the team’s shoulders
Yeah devs should just release games for free in large compilations.
Im not sure it would be possible to find a more negative person, wow.
A lot of this is just: people have the money and there’s not good alternatives. So they capitalize on it. It’s pretty scummy, but it’ll sadly probably only get much worse before it changes.
Unfortunately the windows store bizarre restrictions will keep me from buying anything. Seriously, what the hell, stuff like this is why GFWL failed, don't do it again
PC Remote Play actually seems huge if that makes it easier to record / stream PS4 games. The built-in streaming is mediocre at best and capture cards are finicky. This could be an enormous step in their exposure if that works out with remote play.
Lion Horn of Stormwind
This is why I basically stopped doing it. I’d love to be able to play old games on my new PS consoles, but I’m not rebuying them every time they release a new console to play literally the same game I could play by just not being too lazy to hook up my old consoles, or simply emulate them.
I don’t have a big problem with the features available, with one exception, and that’s survival mode. Asking players to complete a 50-fighter survival mode with every single character just to unlock colors is absolutely insane. Especially when you factor in the complete RNG involved in recovery between fights, the…
There’s people complaining about the complaining, but honestly there are a dramatic number of issues with the PC version, ultimately boiling down to “it’s barely functional”. The game *has* to run at a constant 60 FPS, there are no two ways about it. If it doesn’t, it encounters insane slowdown due to how the game…
Sadly, this is becoming sound advice
Not every game is meant for mass appeal either. It’s perfectly acceptable to say “this game isn’t for me at this price” and play one of literally thousands of other games available.
Tim Schafer and Double Fine are a pretty great microcosm of all of the highs and lows of game development. To go through that almost entirely publicly at this point and to keep on pushing forward is a great thing for people to see.
Pewdiepie fills this odd niche as someone whose content I simply do not like whatsoever, but who I also have an immense respect for and support. Very kind individual, down to earth, very community-oriented, generous, just an all around great person.
