Go back to cowadoody, that's what the 14 year olds are actually playing, it is the children and the childish adults who refuse to play any Doom game because it's not got 3D graphics or about killing arabs like most COD games.

was it GOTY, no? Was it a cluster fuck? No. The game was a better than average AAA shooter. Good dungeons, interesting level design. Car combat provided some nice variety. Story was weak as anything else, but who really cares? Its not like doom or wolfenstein ever set that bar high.

I've never understood this line of thinking. How people can write off a developer completely because of one misstep out of an entire library of awesome games (even though plenty of people, myself included, still enjoyed that misstep).
