“If you ever wondered whether Live Service really is a poisoned term in gaming or is it really just us hardcore players that hate that stuff i.e. surely it means nothing to the general public, then I cant help but think this is a good example.”

From the demo at least I got the impression the time travel aspect really wasn’t needed and they could have just told a prequel story. I would guess that the story isn’t considered canon since it’s not Nintendo developed and the time travel aspect lets them do whatever they want in this alternative universe with no…
I do believe the ones where the LED shows behind the touchpad stand up to this better.
You want them to re-release Melee on PC? In what world do you think this would happen? They’re certainly not going to update a nearly 20 year old game on a console that doesn’t support updates. Most people are pirating this and aren’t going to bust out actual hardware to play it. If you think there would be a Switch…

I recall someone (not on here) talking about how Apple is supporting PWAs begrudgingly because it gives a way to bypass their store and they thought it was surprising they would support them due to this. Here we are, 3 iOS versions after the feature showed up, and we’re starting to see some major moves happening…
To give you the broader information and not just say “you said the wrong thing”
I played this recently on PC via Game Pass (should throw in a mention about that or PC users!) and thought it was alright to good. It has some really cool ideas and moving around is fun but something about it just gets repetitive. I think it’s the consistently really fast pace without a lot of variety of movement.…
I don’t get the big deal. There has to be some sort of barrier of entry - does it matter if it’s money or viewers? If you pay $5 because you’re not meeting your viewer requirements to get this status for free it’s not going to change anything. The affiliate status’ requirements are not particularly high so I don’t see…
The Xbox Core Controller (I don’t get the name either) does feel really nice and makes you think it’s well made. A good heft, materials feel good, a lot of little improvements across the controller that add up. Compared to the PS4 and Xbox One controller it’s definitely the best out of those (ignoring actual layout…
OTOH laptops are meant to be portable so I appreciate that they’ve made them so much easier to carry around over the years. Carrying a dongle for the times I need it is a worthwhile tradeoff. I also really like the standardization on USB-C, it’s a tiny, easy to use port, and you decide what you connect into it. No…
I don’t understand the need to play a game immediately as it’s released. You get to play a better version, with all of the updates, with all of the DLC included, and sometimes for even less money than the original standalone. Look at how much updates and DLC made a difference for a game like FF15.
The game’s entire gimmick was its comic book styling. Remove that and it was another shooter which is why it has a cult following rather than a larger one.
I’m not a fan of this game (I played a demo back in the day and that’s it) and I can immediately tell the visuals are hugely different and have lost most of the comic book style in favor of a modern realistic look. I think technically it is still using cel shading (the dude’s hands look fine at least) but it doesn’t…
Seems like you understand exactly why Juno wasn’t included.
“I like pies more than cakes” is an opinion. Dehumanization is not an opinion.
Well, it is literally rocket science
Tons of single player RPGs have this feature. Very necessary for games where the characters speak a ton of dialogue
This article misses that whenever you see a drive size, that’s not actually the space you get, because computers (and consoles) use a different way to count the storage than drive manufacturers. Throw this into an online calculator. You start with 465GB. 100GB is still a lot but I’d be interested to know how much of…
