The game was finished. They just made a game for 2013's audience not 2023's.

They haven’t even released the mod tools yet. Chill.
Gizmodo of 2023 ain’t the Gizmodo 2013 that’s for sure
I got into MGS from a Japanese PS1 demo and I actually like Keifer a lot. People just really hate change. Hayter was a bit more goofy and Kiefer more serious and that fit what they wanted in the story for 5. He absolutely needed more lines though. I’m guessing they wouldn’t give them the budget for it. Shit, they…
Music is widely available DRM-free but for movies you’re still dealing with DRM for blu-ray copies. Personally I couldn’t imagine buying DVD these days. 1080p to 4K is less of a noticeable difference but DVD to blu-ray is big. Also, infinite copies isn’t very practical. Go digital, run a file system with bit rot…
That’s less convenient than buying it digitally and pirating a copy.
I think you have journalism and marketing confused. An unfortunately common mistake in this day and age.
I really like the game’s foundation and feel but I wish they didn’t do the typical “copy Destiny” structure for items that so many studios have done the past few years. People just have it in their mind that they’re supposed to play one game forever and forever and it really drags a lot of games down when they’re…
More than one person writes for this site.
I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not. Based on your double posting I’d assume not. This community used to be a lot cooler. You’ve managed to out-herb what is already a massively watered down site from what it used to be
The fact that you think companies get hired for work the same way you find a plumber tells us all we need to know about your knowledge of the industry. Your argument is basically “Yelp”
It was a fun read.
You don’t know anything about game development or working in general. Incredibly delusional post. Go experience some reality.
I was pointing out that being in another galaxy doesn’t mean anything. It can be as boring or as interesting as anything in the current galaxy because it is in no way tapped out and fully explored. People really do not understand the scale of space.
Why is that so enormous? Galaxies are so big that they have in no way ran out of planets to go to in the current one. This is still the same universe so it’s just another random collection of planets with no overarching connections. They’re still bound by the same physics. I’m not seeing how it’s in any way…
Click “list slides” this format is not remotely new
Steam has long looked outdated compared to other apps. Bringing this up to line with their Steam Deck design is a much needed coat of paint.
“Something close to Rimworld” is one hell of an expectation.
This lacks any nuance and I think you missed it’s going to run at 4K. You know how most of these console games are reaching 60 FPS? By having lower resolutions, sometimes dynamic at that, and they want it to be consistent. That requires a lot of testing and tweaking. This isn’t a “can’t” this is “haven’t done it yet”…
It’s not even a budget GPU. The xx70 line is the middle. Budget would be xx50. There’s some number fudging between generations but at most this could be compared to an xx60.
