Since I don’t eat much in the way of processed foods, and I’m not adding it to my own cooking, I kind of doubt I’m eating all that much of it.

I should do that too. I need to eat low potassium because of my kidneys, cutting back on potatoes was one of the saddest parts of that.

I like your father already.

Honestly, any restrictions on alcohol sales are dumb. What about people who work night shift? Sometimes I have my morning coffee while my BF has an evening beer.

Yea, but saying “meat eaters are more likely to be sexist” is a pretty stupid meaningless statement. Yea, people who consider cows to be their equals probably don’t think of women as “less than”.

I think it’s more of a case of being omnivorous is basically the default state for humans, and therefore that trait can’t tell you much more about the person other than that. Meanwhile, have you ever met someone considered cows their equals and women their lesser? Not exactly logical.

But moderation and exercise aren’t what people want to hear... I preach moderation myself, but I still wish there was some magic way to get around that.

Yea, I started cutting my mac and cheese with cauliflower so I wouldn’t eat an entire cereal bowl of pasta whenever I make it.

Ah, I should have read lower before replying to your initial comment, you don’t like homemade either.

I always thought that until I made some myself at home. The trick is lots of fresh garlic.... and do mostly Parmesan with very little Romano. Cream cheese, milk, & a small tab of butter for the base is the easiest way, but if you like making rues go for it (but use heavy cream).

Considering the fact that people who buy disposable water bottles are pieces of shit who put “convenience” above all else, I sincerely doubt they are willing to bend and get the cloudy looking bottle.

Yea. This is definitely a cool story and that girl sounds awesome, but as someone who struggles with weight myself, keeping 20 cupcakes in the house would end up being more of a punishment for my body than for the asshole who made fun of it.

Or, you know... bake cupcakes... It’s not that complicated, and a hell of a lot cheaper to do at home.

The stats about places with abstinence only sex ed suggest otherwise.

Actually, it’s well established that sex ed and access to birth control improve life outcomes for both women and their offspring. Is it the only answer? Certainly not, but it’s a f*cking excellent place to start.

I think cost is the absolute worst excuse. There is not a single form of birth control that is more expensive than having and raising a f*cking child.

Even in a happy, well off community anything more than 3 children is just too damn many (and even 3 is a bit much).

“Women of Appalachia are “independent, strong and intelligent.”

I can see that. I don’t think I’m a lesbian anymore.

I slow down when I see them so they won’t have cops hang out in areas I like to speed... Maybe I need to change my tactic since it seems my assumption about them was wrong (or was it!?!?!)...
