Not sure that could work. If the tuner deposited the check into his own account, it would just go back into the same account. In any case, a cashiers check normally requires an immediate debit because it is the bank issuing the check from its own account. At least that’s how it’s always worked at my bank.

I think what they meant is the bank reversed the deposit, taking the money out of his account. No way the check directed the money be taken out of his account if he deposited it into same account.

So, Thursday afternoons at Elon’s?

No that involved the high voltage battery, alligator clips and genitals

Watching “The Star Beast,” I was reminded of something I wrote in a comment on this site, many years ago:

I kinda feel like Force Awakens was when George Lucas decided “I’m gonna sell this thing.”

It coincided with Elon limiting the number of posts people could see on Twitter and it seemed at the time like the increase in traffic from people who were already there was more than the servers could handle. There were probably also some folks who got spurred to hand out invites that they had sitting as well, but

The Starfleet Command series is a blast when you want to get your Wrath of Khan starship battles on. Great soundtrack too.

Yep, weird that the entire article seems to hinge on that phrasing (likely without any proper tone at all) despite NetEase also being desperate for a cash infusion after China upended the gaming market and then concludes it’s Microsoft’s fault for buying Activision Blizzard.

NetEase has been problematic for awhile

Having your fate tied to an Oriole is a curse to which many can relate.

I’d like the white house to acknowledge the Porsche Taycan Turbo is flippin sweet.

So, I live here, maybe 3 miles from the bridge, and usually drive on it to get to the gym during the week. Under the circumstances, this was a best-case scenario for a variety of reasons:

Okay... after some careful analysis, I don’t think it’s actually all that bad. 8' is only ~two thirds the length of a Mini Cooper. And Mini Coopers are small cars.

Now then, when it gets to be 2/3rd the length of a mid-size sedan like a Honda Civic, then we have a problem.

I carry a few heavy blankets in my car and car cover for just such emergencies. The blankets will absorb the impact of the typical stuff in my AO ( not the Texas level stuff I see demolishing homes obviously ) when it comes to hail and the car cover acts as ballast holding them in place.

Yaar, Time to set sail on the SS VPN to the bays of pirates.

Yo ho, yo ho...

This is some very polite ownage.
