This is a thing that has been bugging me for a while and I didn’t know there was a word for it! Although I thought “pinkwashing” referred specifically to breast cancer things, but I see the definition has been expanded.

The tree god flat out tells Brand that he will never walk again, but he will fly. Any list of potential dragon riders that doesn’t include Brand is suspect.

I love how GRRM sets out to write a “realistic” and anti Campbell Hero-of-a-Thousand-Faces where narrative and moral logic don’t necessarily apply but people still so vehemently believe in a neat fly off into the sunset ending.

A lot, a lot, a lot of people have this theory, and it is in fact so strong that I’ve been seeing GoT toys marketed this way. The other day I saw a collection of action figures that were grouped in threes and Tyrion, Jon and Dany were always grouped together.

I do not like to compare horrors and I certainly do not do it to demean the victims,...

Yes, that Tyrion may be secretly a Targaryen is a popular fan theory, and the show has supported it a few times.

You definitely have a point about his motives, but what I meant to say is that regardless of the reasons, I felt that the torture and murder of Shireen is the most horrible act of violence on the show. Also, Stannis probably made up his mind after Ramsay’s raid, but he was thinking about it even before, that’s why he

THANK YOU! How come nobody has mentioned how Unsullied-like in his uselessness the spear dude was?

Maaayyyybeee she’s going to release the other dragons for reinforcement?? Maybe she’ll pick up Grey Worm to help out? Maybe she’s gonna grab snacks?

I was kinda working under the assumption that Drogon whittled them down to manageable numbers and that the Unsullied were on their way over. The immediate threat seemed to be greatly diminished.

I think Drogon is still considered somewhat small for a dragon. Remember in season 1, Arya was standing next to a skull of a dragon and it was way bigger than her and even accounting for her short stature, was way bigger than Drogon.

I think the show is pretty obviously setting up Dany to be the savior of Westeros and the only one worth liking, though I’m sure even more terrible things are to come in the process.

Let’s have Stannis and Ramsay kill one another slowly and painfully.

I have the gut feeling that only Targaryens can ride the dragons. Does anyone else feel that way? When Tywin tells Tyrion “You’re no son of mine.” Does that have resonance for anyone, beyond a repudiation of Tyrion? I think you see what I’m getting at...

Davos will kill Stannis himself for this. Nothing else could get him to turn on Stannis not even the death of his own son although he died in battle. If he had died by fire like Shireen? Yeah...

May have had something to do with a missing VE editor - On June 1, Katherine Chappell, 29 —a renowned visual effects editor for the series Game of Thrones —was killed by a lion. - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/03/gam…
