Ah, that’s sad. I always cringe when I see posters for animals that are unlikely to ever be found alive (most recently, one for a declawed 14-year-old cat that escaped out of a window). But I understand why people try and especially why someone would let their child try.

Is there a cat in this family? Because my childhood hamster, Pancake Yum, disappeared under similar circumstances, but looking back I’m pretty sure my cat just ate her. :(
