Anyone who follows me knows my tweets were not in support of Sterling's actions. Rather, they were promoting three core tenets I believe in: 1) The harm sensational media presents to society. 2) The importance and sanctity of your privacy within your own home. And 3) The right to be whatever you want to be as an

Maybe I don't explore the same corners of the internet, but I've seen far more people championing a stalwart defense of Samus' heels than people actually criticizing them. Hell, this article started off with a whole bunch of people preemptively chastising those who disagreed with the inclusion of heels.

Hmm, wouldn't a zero suit then exacerbate the problem of blood flow since the only area it isn't applying pressure is the area that already "puffs up with blood?" Seems like the smarter choice to simulate correct blood flow in space would be to run around naked with a skin-tight stocking over your head.

The yellow aura is part of the problem (should be pink). The other is just the boots themselves. They need to just be part of the suit because this is not an accurate representation of my favorite character.

Not exactly. Take most video game male armors or outfits and put them on a woman. Most of the time, she'll look pretty badass. Don't you find it a little interesting how when the opposite is done, the guy looks utterly and hopelessly ridiculous?

also... kerrigan has zerg heels... just.. cuz.. don't really have a point.. just wanted to bring that up. lol

No one is arguing that games have to be 100% realistic or ignore any stylistic choices. The argument here is about internal consistency — Samus has never worn heels (except very small ones with the introduction of the Zero Suit in Zero Mission, and then later on her Other: M rendition — a rendition that is near

Can you find examples of people running one direction, then cutting and moving in the other direction? In platforms? Even tennis shoes that sit high pose a risk of ankle injury. It's reaaaaly easy to roll an ankle trying to make quick cuts in stripper-shoes like Samus is rocking.

Heels are cute as hell and I love a sexy design. That said, they don't seem to make a heck of a lot of sense here. A lot of people aren't objecting on the strict grounds of sexiness alone as much as they are of sexiness done this way, in this context.

I think you need to look up the word "typically".

I think you're definitely in the minority here.

"This one video game included high heels on a character, therefore all future characters that have high heels are now exempt from criticism!"

Lobo isn't a good choice to illustrate your point. Lobo is intentionally over-the-top and ridiculous to satire the grim 'n' gritty trend started in the late '80s by Frank Miller and his contemporaries. Lobo looks like that because the writers are self-aware. Ultimate Warrior's comic is even worse, and without a

Too bad it came from the mouth of hypocrisy.

Sounds like Heenan got over excited and botched the narration.

That resulted in things like "magic smoke" knocking out his opponents, and this bizarre segment, in which Warrior appeared in a mirror, where only Hulk Hogan could see him.

except that people *do* say this stuff to overweight people. It's not about overweight vs. Underweight. It's about encouraging EVERYOBE to back off about other peoples bodies.
