Absolutely. Especially in pub games, if you pause because of a disconnect or some minor thing, and explain why, and someone on the other team is a dick and unpauses. Half the time someone on THAT team will repause because THEY KNOW their teammate is a dick.

The problem with people telling other people 'how to play' is that there are lots of styles and opinions and telling someone 'how to play' usually involves telling them they are doing it wrong and they should do it your way. HALF the time people who do that don't even know what they are doing.

Start Game -> Rush lane you want (despite team composition) -> Die -> -ping (doesn't work anymore though) and say "lag" at least three times. -> Die again -> GG -> Sit in fountain until game ends.

It entirely depends on the reason. Dog barking, door knocking, phone ringing, gotta pee.. 3-5 minutes max. But on the same note, if "real life" is so important, then you won't mind the fact that when you paused the game for ten minutes to go and make spaghetti i unpaused it and demolished you.

I'll give someone a minute, any more and something better be on fire. If you went to make a sandwich, in the middle of a competitive game, that you can't play properly while eating anyway..

It'll happen, you'll be in a matchmaking queue, it'll be sitting there for five minutes, you'll sit there, staring at the screen, sweating, the need to pee becoming more and more immediate. In you're mind you're weighing things up, frantically trying to decide if its safe to go. The longer you wait the more likely

I THINK you run out of the ability to pause. if you pause the game, and someone unpauses, you can't immediately pause it again, someone else does. So if everyone fights over it pausing and unpausing, eventually no one will be able to pause it.

You can turn off auto-attack, this will mean you will last hit something you're attacking but you won't automatically continue attacking targets around you and you won't automatically start attacking after using an ability.

Pausing quickly to grab a drink or answer the door might be okay, but if you say 'one second, getting food' and pause the game.. People are just going to unpause, and i'm kind of with them. If you're playing a game, it only takes an hour at MOST, you can just wait, please?

Dota 2 is poison to teamwork. It tricks you into thinking its about teamwork, but even while you're working with your team against the other team, you're ALSO working against your own team, because people 'compete' for kills and gold and XP and position. Pub games of Dota 2 are a massive free for all as everyone tries

I have 530ish hours in Dota 2. But you gotta remember its been out for at least a couple of years now, it feels like a lot more than that, but playing since it came out thats only one game a day. Its EASY to play 2-3 games in a row. It really adds up quickly. Its also a game you can play repeatedly forever, there is

I think people are having a very visceral - and probably overly dramatic - reaction to the silence. They see promises of weekly update, they watch videos of things that don't exist and immediately think of vaporware when the devs don't reassure them otherwise. Which is a kneejerk reaction, but its not surprising

For me, its all about speed. cell-by-cell doesn't take seconds, if it was instant and total, then its just cloning.

Honestly the modern era thing was my least favorite thing. It always felt shoehorned into the game in every one last the first, and i always dreaded the idea it would push forward into the modern era and become Mirrors Edge with swords or something.

Weird that its not on PC (though i guess not THAT weird) AC liberation eventually ended up on PC and that was still pretty cool, i guess we'll end up waiting but we might get it eventually.

Its by no means the main reason. People were defending the devs to the hilt for a long time before they started giving up. It wasn't a particularly mature sort of community, but it only started to get bad as the days and weeks of silence dragged on. Now the lawsuit thing is pure bullshit, you can be mad, but you can't

I'm still in the zone where i'll play every AC game. The only game i didn't like was... threee..? I don't remember, the one about the American Revolution, mostly because i'm not American and i just couldn't get too invested in it and all the hunting and the trees drove me to annoyed distraction

The problem with that is that the community is 'toxic' because - among other reasons - the silence, lack of updates, lack of features, almost zero communication, all things that could be solved if he (or someone) wasn't so quiet.

Being replaced, cell by cell if different though. Because it doesn't all happen instantly at the same time, its more like a chain of effects, so you can argue that since its not all new at the same time, the 'old you' imprints the 'new you' so its still all the same.

97% of that game is lassoing people and dragging them around. 2% is crafting items (like what, 11 of them?) and the last 1% is being ambushed by dinosaurs on the beach.
