Anyone who is rude to, or looks down on someone just because their job is to serve you (in any capacity) is just a huge red flag for me. I immediately think they are a bad person and feel no guilt about the snap judgement of their character.

As an Australian, one of the things that concerned me about a trip to the states was tipping (that and tax not being added in the price of things. 19.50 + tax.. what? whats tax? which tax? how much? who, maths? really? why..)
Doctor Horrible was mostly a gentleman!
I kinda thought that might be a plan when they went after the firebender prisoner, so far they have liked to lean on the familial connections (which i like) but the second i saw that tattoo i knew what was up.
I always wondered if there was some sort of genetic .. combination? If your parents are earth/fire, do you just get ONE of them, or does that mean you might just maybe have some affinity for both?
I'm waiting (mostly) patiently for Bolin's moment. Bolin has been fairly unique in that he's both the bumbling comedy guy, but he's NOT useless. Often times that role is taken by someone who is either MUCH less powerful (sokka early on and sincce he couldn't Bend, kinda always) or at least not very good at what…
Twice no less!
It is missing, but we can speculate. If what we're told isn't a lie and he was a great navel commander, why would we assume he is different now, than how he was? By all reports from his siblings he's 'always been the same'.
I think it was just really awkwardly handled. I mean on one hand, Lin's problem wasn't that huge - she got a scar, which is a big deal, but it was 30 years ago and Su didn't do it on purpose - her mother retired early (debatable) but that COULD just be Lin's perspective.
I think you hit the nail on the head. It doesn't seem very lucrative, it seems hard and tiring and mundane when he was doing it, but you rarely ever see him do it again and you NEVER see anyone else do it.
Are you implying that kai IS Aang?
Sure, though i would suggest you did, there are some connections and some comments you won't totally get but they are pretty much stand alone.
Next season. Ironman.
Only without all the redeeming features, sure.
Su seemed unreasonably nice and accomodating. I'm not sure if it was so Lin looked worse or what but she was annoyingly nice.
She absolutely is, she's basically this guy who was a firebender with exactly the same ability. I would hazard a guess and say if they are not related then they belong to the same clan/cult/temple/order/drum circle.
No no, the whole '1 in 100 can do it' is pivotal because the whole point is the 'oh i can't do it, only special people like the avatar can do it, the avatar is so special, i'm not special OH LOOK HOW SPECIAL I AM' moment. Its probably not a hard and fast rule either, its not like.. genetic or something, its more like…
Wow.. i thought the SAME THING. I'll tell you why. Su has like a BILLION kids, they spent like a full 8 minutes showing all the kids off and how awesome they are. Lin just goes off on Opal for apparently no reason.
I blame her arrogance entirely on Kai.. the little bastard, ruining that sweet girl.
I to was a little annoyed but then at the same time i was annoyed by the whole mess. I get the anger, i get not letting it go, i understand the way things like that can fester and stick for long years. I mean her sister almost cost her an eye with her actions AND she basically threw everything her mother worked for…
