Agreed with all that. GB2 gets unfairly shit on. It has some really great and memorable scenes. Yes it’s a step down from the first, but what wouldn’t be?

They could just do what the Ghostbusters video game did with Vigo. They had his painting leaned up against a wall in the firehouse and Vigo would randomly talk smack when you walked past him.

I don’t understand how it’s confusing. It made sense to my 8 year old. And I thought I remembered them saying, in ‘84, that they only “closed the door”.

They single handedly took a genre that was at worst disrespected and laughed at and at best an escapist novelty and turned it into a financial and critical powerhouse. Not just in terms of superheros but also forcing every other franchise to figure out how to create a shared universe.

Also this is the first I’m hearing of the “institutional bigotry” of the AV Club. It sure would be hilariously ironic if this place imploded with a woke inquisition like so many other organizations have over the past few years.

The AV Club is the most self-righteously woke pop culture website out there, and that’s certainly saying something. I love Norm and I’m shocked that the regular cast of joyless scolds here have eulogized him to this extent, considering he was no Amber Ruffin or John Oliver.

So, obligatory, I no longer watch because it got repetitive and boring IMHO. But to each his own..

I’d love to get into GTA Online, but I am a super casual gamer in that regard. I love the GTA single player campaigns, but I explore, take my time, enjoy it. I get that it makes them a shit load of coin, but c’mon....this game came out in 2012!
